Yes

Watched Steeltown Murders

Incredible story, the documentary is also very good to watch, it's really good.

The series, great story, but a little slow and lots of flashbacks, but important to the story, which is true.

Finished Without Sin and enjoyed it, although Vicky McClure wig was not good.

Best Of Interests watching, very slow, but good story, but heavy going.

Breakpoint second Netflix series following tennis players around the tour, very good.

We've got that and Disney and Apple. And we still struggle to find stuff to watch.

message 1094: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) I find there are a lot of good series on Apple. And I am looking forward to the dramatization of Lessons in Chemistry. Also, at only $5/month it is one of the more economical ones out there.

Aditya | 1631 comments Dexter New Blood by Clyde Phillips – TV’s favorite serial killer who murdered other criminals who escaped justice is back for one last hurrah. Dexter (Michael C. Hall) is living under a false identity in a snowy hamlet and dating the police chief Angela. Just when he starts killing again, he is visited by the son he deserted – Harrison (Jack Alcott) who might be hiding demons of his own. Dexter can’t reach Harrison because he can’t be honest with him but Harrison is getting close with Kurt (Clancy Brown) who might be harboring his own dark secrets. This is Dexter so every second character is a serial killer. The first thing that struck me is when it originally ran Dexter qualified as prestige drama, now TV has gotten so much better this feels like a pulpy beach read, entertaining but too contrived to be taken seriously. The scene where Angela connects with a figure from Dexter’s past is an example of what I mean by contrived writing. It is pretty fun for the most part though it screws up the last episode and I wanted less Harrison and more Dexter. The original series is infamous for one of the worst endings in TV history. This is nearly as bad and it gave me Game of Thrones flashback. The finale could have worked if more time was devoted to setting up the climax instead characters behave inconsistently and start contradicting who they have been for the past nine episodes. 6/10
