Lorrea - WhatChaReadin'? (whatchatreadin) Favorite series right now that I can not miss... Scandal, Grey's Anatomy, and Criminal Minds. These shows have to be watched live in their entirety uninterrupted.

Thought it was fantastic! Matthew Mcconaughay acted out of his socks as did Woody Harrelson.(Probably spelled their names wrong) but I truly loved it. Don't worry Sean.... Only 8 episodes

Perri | -43 comments Now, Sean, don't be dogging on your wife. Celebrity Get Me Out of Here sounds entertaining! :)

Lorrea - WhatChaReadin'? (whatchatreadin) I also have a strange affinity for Here Comes Honey Boo Boo

LaDonna (ladonnasbooknook) | 10 comments Excited about this week's returns of Rizzoli and Isles, The Americans and Perception. Along with this week's episodes of The Blacklist, Castle, Elementary, Person of Interest and Justified - well, if we have to be snowed in, at least we have lots of great stuff to catch up on!

Since it's true confession time, my DH haven't missed a season of Survivor. No idea why. Oh, any Downton Abbey fans?

I'm tired of the snow!!! But will enjoy being snuggled up with a good book and mind polluting television.

LaDonna (ladonnasbooknook) | 10 comments Oh Laurrea you have no idea how sick of winter I am!!! Just trying to put a positive spin on things! :-) Our town said they aren't even going to start plowing until Monday after another 6 to 10 inches that started a few hours ago. We've got an almost full DVR and plenty to read so we'll survive. I just really hope I can get to a doctor's appt I have Monday afternoon because I'll run out of two medications on Tuesday if I can't. Stay warm and safe everyone!

Dipanjan | 314 comments Just started watching "Crossing Lines" and found it to be ordinary. The writing could be tighter. It needs to have more OMG moments to add this to my list of favourites. (I am on the 4th episode of Season 1, maybe its too early to form an opinion).

message 61: by Lisa (last edited Mar 09, 2014 07:31AM) (new)

Lisa (lisadannatt) I don't get enough time to watch all the series that I would like to watch, particularly most recently.
I loved Lost (but the last two seasons really derailed), Prison Break, Perception, Blue Bloods and V
Sitcoms I've loved would be BBT, modern family, Frasier, friends and Gilmore Girls.
Two series that I was addicted to but were cancelled were Harsh Realm and Tru Calling...
And I really don't like medical dramas...

Not seen Prison Break, that looked good.

The Blacklist seems to be getting better and better thanks to James Spader performance.

Also enjoy the new Hawaii Five O, Arrow, Homeland, Line Of Duty, The Following.

Plus I do enjoy Ice Road Truckers

I'm not familiar with the others you mentioned, but the first season of Prison Break is brilliant!

Dipanjan | 314 comments LEVERAGE is one of my favourites. Pretty intelligent. However it did get a bit forced in the later seasons. But still, I love the Leverage Team.

Just the clips, just cannot fit anymore in, my planner is full of series.

Dipanjan | 314 comments Ha ha. I know the feeling Sean. I can never manage to catch them on TV. I have to get the DVDs and watch each of them one shot.

Oh my goodness, we just got caught up on True Detective, and I probably could've caught flies since my jaw kept dropping! I cannot believe the level of writing and acting on that show. Socks officially blown. Also, one of the few shows that my husband and I both enjoy. Others would be Game of Thrones, Orphan Black, Orange is the New Black, Elementary. And King of the Nerds, hehe!

message 76: by Dipanjan (new)

Dipanjan | 314 comments @ Jessica - Game Of Thrones happens to be one of my favorite shows. In the last year's Comic Con, I started my speech by asking the audience, "Who will win the ratings battle between Mother Is Coming (HIMYM) Vs Winter Is Coming (GOT)".

Dee Waite (deeannwaite) | 9 comments We've been watching Criminal Minds, Blue Bloods, and The Following pretty consistently. Because my daughter loves Once Upon A Time, I've just begun watching that as well (though not thriller, but nice escape). My hubby and I don't watch what some would consider a lot of T.V. - I'm also a writer and he's an artist and photographer and we keep pretty busy with all of that. I was surprised to see that there are shows mentioned on this post that I've actually never heard of (Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Dancing on Ice, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo). I'm thinking I lead a sheltered life. :)

The Blacklist, I love James Spader!
Lillyhammer , very entertaining Steven Van Zandt is amazing

James Spader is giving a great performance in The Blacklist

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 652 comments I've got to say of everything on TV right now Grimm is my favorite series. I've enjoyed it from the first. I'm also fairly involved in Blacklist and like Person of Interest.

Comedy wise Big Bang Theory is about all I watch. TV is on a lot but I often mute it and read or play an audio book.

Another show for great comic relief is Impractical Jokers! I laugh so hard every time I watch this show I nearly pee my pants.

Kaysa Kaysa | 1 comments Sherlock rocks. Elementary is fun too but I watch it for JLM - he is good. Blacklist makes it to the list just because of Spader.

Loving Game of Thrones, House of Cards and Orange is the New Black - the last one being more comic but it works. Big Bang Theory is an all time favorite - Howard is a genius!

The Following and Hannibal haven't managed to keep me glued throughout. Maybe if I binge watch an entire season, perhaps they would.

Just started with The Killing, going great so far.

This show is most definitely NOT for the ones who prefer fast-paced, action packed shows :) it's my favorite new show on TV though...that's the beautiful thing about TV nowadays - there is something on there for everyone's taste...

I think True Detective is beautifully written and impeccably cast...and for me anyway, it's raising the bar for the quality of TV shows currently produced :)

message 93: by Sanda (new)

Sanda (anais_nin) | 8 comments I love the freedom technology allows us these days - being able to watch shows commercial free at my convenience :) I tend to like shows whose writers tend to lean on sarcasm frequently :)

Some of my favs include

- True Detective
- BBC Sherlock AND Elementary (what can I say, I love all things Sherlock and I enjoy both shows for different reasons)
- The Game of Thrones (brilliant)
- Crossing Lines (Donald Sutherland alone makes this worth watching :)
- Motive (love the way episodes are set up)
- CBC Cracked (one of my fav Canadian TV shows)
- House of Cards (Kevin Spacey...need I say more? lol)
- Perception (again, concept I love)
- Arrow (one of my fav mind escapes)
- Mad Men
- The Big Bang Theory (my favorite comedy show :)

out of the overwhelming number of brand new shows this 2013/14 season, these are the ones that made my cut:

- Sleepy Hollow
- The Blacklist
- Almost Human (this one was a really pleasant surprise)
- Mind Games (only seen 2 episodes but I can see myself getting hooked)
- Masters of Sex

Planning on checking out:
- Intelligence
- Believe (this one I'm really curious about cause Alfonso Cuaron is one of the people behind it :)

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 652 comments Don't miss Grimm...really.

Tim The Enchanter | 397 comments Mike is right. His insistent talk about the series convinced me to try it. It's quite entertaining with a little of network tv darkness.

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 652 comments I actually own the first 2 seasons and the third is going well.

Ty Patterson | 401 comments I have fallen out with Big Bang Theory. Sheldon is annoying now and not bemusing.

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 652 comments I can see that...of course he's supposed to be, LOL.

A matter of taste.

Michael (micky74007) The BBC series Sherlock
Justified
Person of Interest
Last Man Standing
DCI Banks
Doc Martin
Mountain Men

Paul I rarely watch TV these days. I find the ads & the proliferation of 'reality shows' & endless repeats off putting. I prefer to either buy, hire or download any series that grab my interest.
Recently watched 'The Sopranos' & 'Californication', as i came to both half way through their runs on TV. Watched a couple of episodes of 'Breaking Bad' & that's on my list to watch from the beginning. Just acquired the full first season of 'True Detective', so am looking forward to that.
