Silent Witness…”

I recently finished all 24 seasons (series in your parlance) and I loved the entire show. Like with books, some storylines were not as interesting as others. Changes in cast members never harmed the show, and in my opinion, refreshed it. Very well done.

I've been very hit and miss with Silent Witness. Watched the early seasons then went off it and came back for the latest. Looking forward to next season though because of the familiar face!

Yes I watched the first few series with Amanda Burton.

My wife taped the latest series, and I enjoyed it.

Nice that each two episodes was one story.

Odd no live Celebrity last night, know they were having problems.

Strictly

I think Tilly or Dan will go.

AJ or Rosa to win.

message 855: by Emily (new)

Emily | 142 comments hopefully I'm a celebrity will be back on tomorrow. They have had to move all the celebs out of the castle because storm arwen caused trees to fall on the castle and they have got to repair whatever damage there is.

I think Dan should go out tonight.

There's a danger that Celeb could be cancelled altogether. A lot of damage has been done to the sets apparently.

The White Lotus

This is a great and unexpected comedy driven by its complex and layered characters, each of whom play an important part in the show's social commentary and satire. Each member of the class plays their role to perfection, in particular, Jake Lacy as a self absorbed rich kid and Jennifer Coolidge as a tragic figure who is inevitably trapped in her toxic patterns and blinded by her privilege. Murray Bartlett and Natasha Rothwell also do an incredible job as the sympathetic hotel staff who have to deal with the nonsense their guests throw at them every day-meanwhile, Fred Hechinger was a surprising stand out, playing a quiet, unassuming character who grew to be one of my favourites in the season.

This show makes some unexpected decisions and keeps you on your toes. The soundtrack by Cristobal Tapia de Veer is unique and works overtime to create the atmosphere and mood of the show throughout. And the themes do a great job exploring the idea of who in our society faces consequences for their actions--Paula's story arc (played by Brittany O'Grady) is one of the best examples of this that I have seen.

Well acted by all, different, enchanting, addictive, fun.

Trigger Point on ITV, by the producers/writers of Line Of Duty and The Bodyguard.

Great news. It looks like it stars the guy who played June's husband in The Handmaid's Tale. But I'm not sure.

Thomas (tom471) | 1341 comments I watched Joe Pickett on Spectrum on demand and recommend it. It is based on 2 books by C.J. Box in the Joe Pickett series. I also watched A 20 year celebration of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on PBS. Tommy Smothers called it the "Mormon Smabernacle Choir." If you read Louise Penny's Armand Gamache series, you know that "tabernacle" is a swear word in Quebec, Canada.
