Kerry Donovan (kerrydonovan) | 97 comments Watched 'Snowpeircer' last night. A Gory sci-fi starring Chris 'Capt America' Evans, and co-starring Jamie Bell.
Beautiful graphics but complete nonsense centres on a train running continuously in a snow covered world. Enjoyable hokum. 2hrs 20mins flew by.
Also starring John Hurt and Ed Harris. Recommended.

Working my way through Series 3 right now. Johnny Lee Miller (grandson of Bernard Lee) is brilliantly quirky. Casting Lucy Liu as Joan Watson was inspired. :)

Watched the first three episodes and gave up! :/

Although Damien Lewis is charismatic, and can act the socks of most TV 'celebs', the series didn't hook me.

Watched it. Great, haunting series. Tennant is superbly creepy.

One of the best US TV series of all time for me is:

The West Wing.

I have all 7 series on DVD.

Gloria ~ mzglorybe (mzglorybe) | 18 comments TV series Lincoln Rhyme & the Bone Collector (NBC) from the book series by Jeffrey Deaver has been an awesome edge of your seat thriller. Well done, fast paced with a great cast. Intense drama will delight thriller fans. Hoping it’s renewed for season 2. 👍🏼

message 621: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn Gloria, my husband and I are avid watchers of that show, also! I believe it’s doing very well ratings-wise so hopefully it does get renewed.

I thought it started off to fast without characters fleshed out, but I've adapted to it now. I think I've missed the last two episodes. Need to check it out online. I wonder if the entire series will be about finding and stopping the Bone Collector. That's a challenging writing assignment for the staff I bet.

Kathryn I don’t get the love for the show Tiger King. I couldn’t even get through one episode.

Also, I’m really disappointed with Outlander this season. My husband and I are equally bored by it. So different than the earlier seasons.

message 639: by Christine (new)

Christine Indorf | 1814 comments I go back and forth on a series I love. I think I change my mind every other week. So this week love is the Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers. A amazing read that at some point everyone needs to read!! So worth it!!

Tiger King, has got better and better...

I love animals, but this becomes more of an unbelievable drama/thriller show.

Gripping Yes...

Shocking....

The enormous battle between the different owners, the death threats, the FBI, the fires, the threats, who owns what....

Also finished Liar, I was quite happy with the ending

message 641: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn Started watching Tales from the Loop on amazon and I’m liking it so far. I’m not sure if it’s the story or the way it’s filmed. It’s visually beautiful in a way that the television series Hannibal was. I’m going to keep watching.
