I'm probably too optimistic for my own good.

I am too, you are not alone.

That is as you would say my dear 'legit fallacy'

XD You know me way too well.

Probably from watching too much Star Trek, I always have hope for the future of humanity. Just maybe, it could work.

Keep voting Democrat and your children may inherit a better world.

Kyle and J pretty much savagely attacked me for saying that. :P

message 363: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Well, speaking for Kyle, it is because he is doggedly conservative in alot of FP matters and thinks that Europe is like the worst shit around.

message 364: by Davis (new)

Because she was bashing America & saying that their government was better. She's twelve years old. How would she really know? It was just the way she was saying it. She sounded ignorant. But it's all cool now.

I'm never leaving permanently. I can't abandon them to their fate. Plus I love New Jersey. It has everything you need in one nifty little state. :D Tons of historic sites in a 5 hour radius, 24/7 diners, music, the city. :)

Liz Davis wrote: "My kids are going to be safely living in Sweden under a half Capitalist/half Socialist society quietly thrives, watching America crash under the flag of conservatism and capitalism. "

I'm moving to Europe as well, Amsterdam for me, though.

I cannot stand America. It is going to crash and burn if these people in charge keep doing what they are doing.

message 369: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Weren't you just arguing with me a month ago about how the banks were the good guys?

message 370: by Liz (new)

Liz Yes, but I'm not denying America is seriously messed up.

And Amsterdam is gorgeous and awesome and you can buy Birkenstocks for really cheap over there!

If people would quit voting Republican, we'd be okay.

message 372: by Liz (new)

Liz If people would quit voting for Barack Obama, Sarah Palin, and George Bush, we would be okay. But thats never gonna happen, so to Amsterdam I flee!

How does that even make sense? That isn't a valid statement in the slightest.

I might choose to leave for a few years at a time, but i'll always have a place in the city.

I could never ever TRULY leave the city. It's might be easy for those people in the movies to walk away from some little town in kansas, but you can never actually leave this city. Ever. Even if you want to, you always get pulled back. Something to do with the eletric charges of the lights in Time square, lol. I <3 New York. I really really do.

message 393: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Haha, its the most sterotypical one yet.

message 397: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments I feel like I have to share a story from yesterday. I was out on one of my philosophical thought walks downtown, and I noticed woman on the other side of the street without shoes. I, being the liberal I am, went over to her and began to talk her. I'm sure most of you can imagine the conversation, I will not bore you my philanthropic details, but long story short, I ended up giving this woman the shoes off my feet.
