What was the last thing you listened to...right now I is playing... "Underneath Your Clothes" Shakira...not particularly good, but I have it on shuffle...and now it has changed to...ECK, *switches song..."Everytime We Touch" Cascada....much better

But the last thing I listened *or sang actually* was Knock You Down............it was yesterday and me and my friends were going to a Youth Convetion so we were like singing and listening to music...it was so much fun.......*sigh* and Marcus was so funny......

MEH! Shush Davis! I don't mind what people listen to (minus Disney, haha) as long as you can realize your type of music isn't all there is.
I listen to just about everything there is. It has nothing to do with the genre. It has do with this product of American post-postmodern art becoming homogenized and packaged for easy, painless consumption. It isn't just music either.
What is it to you? Art? Soemthing else I can't think of at the moment?
Literature, movies, televison. Everything. It's appeals to all of our most vulgar (not in the lewd sense, but in the anti-sophisticated sense) tastes. It's mass marketed for everyone to gobble down, like fast food. It's all for the money. There is nothing artistic about American culture anymore.
