Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments Ha, no one in this group reads my writing, Davis doesn't to spare me critisim, most of the others forget about it if I tell them, and I don't like advertising it...

message 3552: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments I normally am pretty happy, but I have this whole other level of my mind that is inherently pessemistic and depressed.

O, Lyle, I thought you were talking about one of mine...

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/4...

My new one. A perfect example of what we're talking about.

message 3557: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments Jesus....

depressified

Nice though...

Big words make me confused at nighttime.

message 3558: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments My reaction to a party I went to tonight haha

message 3559: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments I gets it. Any reason, or were you just...depressed?

message 3560: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Not really depressed, just kind of a weird disconnected feeling sometimes.

message 3561: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments Once again, I gets it. :)

message 3562: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments I think everyone does. No one is eternally happy and amiable all the time; we all have our dark moments.

message 3563: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments Yes...the dark moments are so good though.

message 3564: by [deleted user] (new)

Davis wrote: "I think everyone does. No one is eternally happy and amiable all the time; we all have our dark moments."

or dark hours.

message 3565: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments That's why people read things that are dark because it's almost escapism into what we truly feel and our. We are intriqued by the levels of our own darkness.

message 3566: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments Ha, I don't read anything that dark, I just take all the bad things and figure out how to make them into poetry or stories.

message 3567: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments I didn't know you wrote short stories haha

message 3568: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments That I do, did, I can't seem to get things right lately...I'm not quite sure if I'm ready to hear you kill it but...

message 3569: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Haha, I'm playing poker, or I would read them.

message 3570: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments I am only giving you the one, haha.

message 3571: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments I am resisting temptation to blast this song...

message 3572: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Ahhh. Well, still. Please tell my your not like a paranormal/fantasy writer.

message 3573: by Marley (last edited Jul 25, 2009 11:55PM) (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments I absoulutley DESPISE Fantasy, and Sci-Fi too. Can't STANDIT!

message 3574: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments I do too. All the stupid fantasy writers around here make me want to punch walls.

message 3575: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments Realistic Fiction is the bestest, though you probably hate that too...haha. That's about all I read, and any funny memoirs.

message 3576: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments No, that's pretty much all that I read is realistic fiction, or at least semi-realistic some of Pynchon/Wallace/others can get pretty out there.

message 3577: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments OH! That reminds me, I finished 'An Abundance of Katherines', funny... Thanks for the recomendation.

I highly doubt you are reading the same stuff I am! HAHA! That would be funny though...

message 3578: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Haha, well I only read John Green because I was in jail that was one of the only good books they had.

message 3579: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments Davis....I already figured that out. "Paper Towns" was good too, I can't choose which one I like the best though...

message 3580: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Looking For Alaska was seriously a great book. Like, even for YA. I loved that book, total 5 stars. Excellent read.

message 3581: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments I have that one too! It was pretty great....jeez, I should know not to choose favorites. What other YA do you enjoy?

message 3582: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments I've never read any other YA, I mean I guess if Harry Potter counts.

message 3583: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments Nothing? Ever? How can you not try it and know you hate it?

message 3584: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments It just doesn't appeal to me. There is much better stuff to be reading.

message 3585: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments Ohhh....whatever, I still like it. :)

message 3586: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments I'm sure alot of young adults like it hah

message 3587: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments Meh...random thought: What's your favorite movie?

message 3588: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Hmmm. Dumb and Dumber. Maybe Forest Gump. I don't know. I like alot of movies.

message 3589: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Forrest Gump!!! Me loves, me loves!

List them?

message 3590: by [deleted user] (new)

Davis wrote: "Looking For Alaska was seriously a great book. Like, even for YA. I loved that book, total 5 stars. Excellent read."

I love LFA

message 3591: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Hmmm. Scarface, Blow, Goodwill Hunting, Garden State, Fight Club, Oceans Thirten.

I'm actually embarrased at how non-artisc and mass marketed my movie taste is.

message 3592: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments Ha! True...
1)Ever cry at movies?
2) Ever read Fight Club?

message 3593: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments I read Fight Club many years ago and yes, I have cried at movies.

message 3594: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments Awww...

Explain, because I still don't get that book, haha, I'm weird, you know what, forget I asked.

Seen any Hitchcock movies? And, have you seen Casablanca?

message 3595: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments I can't really explain it, it's been so long. No, I haven't seen Casablanca.

message 3596: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments Hmmm...methinks you would not like romance movies, then again, it's not exactly a, well, now I'm going to end up spoiling it. *zips lips*

message 3597: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Ehh, romance is okay. I'm very romantic at my core, which I think it why our world is so depressing to me.

message 3598: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments Well, in that case, might I suggest Casablanca? HAHA! and Hitchcock is good. I am sure you are... My favorites are RENT, Stand By Me, Forrest Gump, 10 Things I Hate About You, Casablanca, and I don't feel like adding a list here.

message 3599: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments I am talking WAY too much.

message 3600: by Davis (last edited Jul 26, 2009 12:23AM) (new)
