Mrs. Rodriguez-Kam,
I’m going to come right out and say it: I do not like writing these introduction letters. Everyone has secrets and everyone has a story. I’m never sure how much of what things to share, so please don’t mind me if I begin to ramble.
I was born in Apple Valley, California. I remember nothing of it, and in fact, I don’t even know how long I lived there. However, I researched it, and found out that it has a considerably bigger square mileage than my current city, Fullerton. Regardless of its larger square mileage, Apple Valley also has a considerably smaller population than Fullerton. Oh my goodness, I should stop boring you with these useless facts. I know from stories told to me by my mother that I’ve lived in Hesperia. Again, I remember nothing of it. Perhaps I should work on regaining memories of my childhood experiences instead of looking up the size of cities I likely will never again visit.
My parents divorced when I was two and I’ve lived with my mother ever since. However, I regularly visit my father every other weekend. I have no idea what it’s like to live with parents who are together because I was so young when mine separated. I do, however, know what it’s like to deal with step fathers and mothers and let me tell you, it could be better. Logically, step parents often lead to step siblings. As of last August, I have eight siblings altogether. By the way, I had to count them in my mind to figure out that number. Whenever I attempt to explain how everyone is related to me, people simply cannot keep track. Nevertheless, I will explain this to you. Only two of the eight siblings are blood related to me. They are Jr, 26 years old, and Samantha, 23. My mother’s husband has three kids: Will (20), Ashley (19), and Alex (16). My father’s wife has one son named Christopher and he is about 24 years old. My father and his wife have a daughter together. Her name is Rebecca and she is only 11. And finally, Samantha was married last August to her husband John. I must confess, some of these ages are only close guesses. I’m sure, though, you can agree this is a lot of people to keep track of with more than enough birthdays throughout the year to attempt remembering.
I was more or less brought up Christian, following no particular denomination, although if I had to name one, I’d say my parents were Baptists. Unlike them, though, I understand that Catholicism falls under the umbrella of Christianity. This is your cue to laugh. Anyway, regardless of their attempts to have God-loving kids, I’ve “seen the light” and am now atheist. My mother, thankfully, has stopped forcing me to attend church every Sunday. My father, however, has not stopped this annoying practice. I take offense to the fact that he thinks I don’t believe in God simply because I’m being a “typical rebellious teenager.” Well, well, Father, you’re being a typical American for believing in such silly things like another dimension that all humans go to after they die. Honestly, what in the world? While we’re on the subject of personal beliefs, I’ll say that I have strong opinions on certain issues. Some of which include the ever so popular abortion and gay rights controversies. I won’t get into all of this, and will instead save your time by saying I am quite liberal on most subjects.
I like music, reading, and writing. All these you could have already assumed, though. I personally don’t think I’ve read enough to have a set favorite author but if I had to say, it’s John Green. However, I hear Augusten Burroughs is amazing, though I have yet to read him. Some of my favorite books are The Catcher in the Rye, Looking For Alaska, Speak, and Bless Me, Ultima. Books about misunderstood brilliance, I must say, are what I look for.
Now, let’s move on to music. I listen to many a genre and my musical taste is in no way limited to English. Actually, I prefer music in other languages. I’ve picked up on a few words and phrases in various languages simply from music.

@Marley: I'm going into 12th. Yay seniors~
@Sheeky: It has to be twice that long, minimum. Ahaha.
@Lorna: I'll post it here when I'm done. Although I doubt it'll be tonight. I'm terribly unmotivated.

Awww...David Foster Wallace. Is that your mancrush? :)"
Yes, it is.

WEll, I'm on the resort computer right now (the keyboard sucks by the way, so forgive typos please) and I'm having a great time! The waves are nice, the resort amazing, and the area beautiful. But I got TERRIBLY sunburned on my shoulders when I went deep sea fishing. -sigh- It hurts pretty bad, and I'm kind of peeling already.
ANyway, I probably won't post until Monday since we're heading back on Saturday and won't get back home until VERY early SUnday morning (at around 2 or 3 AM). I'll talk to you all then!
