John | 4 comments Hello
I wasn't too much of a reader until I read the game of thrones series. I loved it so much that I don't know what to do with my free time without a book in my hands. I have tried to re read the whole GOT series but I read them not so long ago so its not that interesting.
I would really like your opinion, so I can buy books that are good and would be to my liking.
I prefer topics like the medieval ages and I also like fiction. So there you go, give me some recommendations =)

Lejla | 5 comments If you haven't read the mortal instruments series and the infernal devices trilogy you really should. They're not medival but you really should read them. You've probably heard a lot of bad things about the books but they're only comments.

I agree with Lejla, you should definitely give the Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices series a try. Another series to consider is the series by Stephen R. Lawhead; although I haven't gotten around to reading the series myself, I've heard many positive comments. Lastly, you might enjoy the Inheritance Cycle (Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, Inheritance) by Christopher Paolini.

John | 4 comments And what do you guys think about the mistborn trilogy? It seems interesting.
Also I haven't read nor watched harry potter and the lord of the rings. Are they that good to buy them?

message 5: by Lejla (new)

Lejla | 5 comments Well I have a long list of books to read so I haven't read the mist born trilogy yet, what I usually do if I'm not sure of a books series is a read the first one from the library or something and if I really like it I go out and buy the rest so I'm not stuck with books I don't like

Matt | 1 comments The Kingkiller Chronicle is supposed to be amazing. Everyone I know who's read is said that they couldn't put it down once they got into it. The first book is called The Name of the Wind.

Becca (becka_anne) The 'Pillars of the Earth' series by Ken Follet is also a very good medieval based fiction book. Many people I know (and media) have likened it to GOT.

John | 4 comments Thanks for your suggestions. I have just read the first 150 pages of the book"The name of the wind" and it is really awesome. Slow start, but after 100 pages I am loving it.

Shannon | 9 comments The Maze Runner series is good
Mortal Instruments Series
The Hunger Games
Divergent

Jessie | 239 comments I would definitely suggest the Mortal Instruments and Maze Runner series. As Olivia mentioned, I also think you would enjoy the Eragon books, particularly because you like books with a medieval setting.

Sarah | 7 comments I would recommend the series of Clockwork Angel, also the Legend series. I would also recommend the Lord of The Rings book series. If you need any more specific help just contact me by message! Enjoy.

Well, if you like epic fantasy I recommend you the Mistborn trilogy, The Way of Kings and The First Law trilogy. I am sure they will not dissapoint you (specially"The Way of Kings", it is the best book I have ever read). You can also consider the Kingkiller Chronicle (The Name Of the Wind & The wise man's fear.)

Even though I haven't read them yet, I've also heard really good things about the Game of Thrones series. You might want to consider looking into those books, seeing as you enjoy fantasy.

Samantha (sammgasmic) | 41 comments If you haven't read Harry Potter you need too. It is the most fantastic series. I almost envy you to be able to experience it for the first time. I've re read the series so many times I've lost count and it is my favorite series of all time.

message 17: by Isabelle Jade (new)

Isabelle Jade (isabellejade) I need help picking a book to read! I am a big fan of John Green, as well as Rainbow Rowell and Suzanne Collins. I like romance, but only if it's really well written (I'm pretty picky) and I also like sci-fi, though I'm getting pretty tired of the Dystopian genre. I'd really like either a good quality John Greenish novel, or a great sci fi that isn't just another copy of Hunger Games or Divergent. Please help! Thanks
