Same story, different content?

Hi, I'd just like to ask if The Fallen Star and Shattered Promises should be uncombined? Personally, I haven't read the story yet, but from what I know, they contain the same story, but have different content.

From the author: "Hmmm... you're probably wonder what this is? Another series maybe? Nope. This is the Fallen Star Series all grown, a re-imagining told at a New Adult Level. It's just for fun for those who want to read it, but you don't have to. It won't cause confusion with the Fallen Star Series. It will, however have a warning on it."

Also: "...but there are a few things in that the Fallen Star Series that aren't in Shattered Promises that kind of shift the storyline and vice versa. Hope that helps!"

I also noticed from the excerpts that the wordings are completely different from each other. So should we uncombine or not?

That looks to be the same issue with Underworld and Fractured Souls as well.

but the second one doesn't work because it is picking up the wrong books. I would say they do need separating but we should let a few more comments appear first.

It's not a general rule, though. Although in both of these cases it does seem like they differ enough that separating is in order, in many (possibly most) cases, the "adult" and "young adult" versions of a book have only minor differences and should NOT be separate.

It does look as though these books are a bit more different than just a rehash but damn, this is slow. Everything has been separated, TOOK HOURS. Fractured Souls is still not visible to searches. The Shatterered Promises series still needs updating.
