Alright... let's see...
For the girl, maybe they could have been friends for a long time and they go on a camping trip together and realize their feelings for one another.
For the boys, maybe they meet online or at a bar or something like that. Orrr, they could both be patients at the same hospital.
I'm not really entirely sure for either of them, anything will really go.

Max was sitting on his front porch steps, waiting on his friend, Jay, to come over so they could get started on their trip to the woods. He messed with his thumbs for a while, still feeling the sting of his father's blows from the night prior.
Jay sighs,“I'll be fine ma!” He says rolling his eyes, going outside. Jay smiles at the fact seeing his friend again.“Heyo!” He smiles going down the steps. Jay goes up to him ruffled his hair,“Bright blue eyes as always.” Jay let out a smile again. And looked down crossing his arms.
Max chuckled and stood, bringing Jay in for a hug and chuckling, "It's cold this morning, man!" He patted Jay's back and then let go, stepping back and smiling at him, "Nice to see you this morning."
"Yeah." He looks up at him smiling. "So lets go?" He says looking at his clothing
Max nodded, "Yup, it's just a few minutes to get to the start of the woods, then we are a few miles in."
"Cool." He smiles. "So we are going in your car?" Jay asked.
Max nodded, "Yep, it's right there." He pointed a bit down the street.
He walks over with his bag on his shoulder.
Max drove the two of them to the edge of the woods.
He looked out the window, Pretty nice.... Never been in the woods. He thought to himself. He got out wanting to camp in the heart of the woods near a lake to go swimming,"Max? You much of a swimmer?"
Max chcukled, "Of course, man!" He grabbed his bag and headed for the woods.
He walked to the woods ignoring Maxs' answer. This was the moment of exploring. Jay glanced up at the trees. In the far distance repeatedly pine trees.
Max followed behind him, slinging his backpack further on.
"Where are we gonna camp?" He says hopefully waiting for an answer, Of course in the heart of the woods, Jay!
Max caught up with him and chuckled, "as far as we can get, I'd think."
Max shrugged, "Whatever you please."
"Okay." He looked for a river changing directions.
Max followed him deep into the woods until they found a flowing river.
He spotted one,"Great." He smiles. He put his stuff down only a couple steps away from the river.
Max did the same and watched Jay as he set his stuff down as well.
He put up a tent,"D o you know how to--- you know."
