Niran | 1842 comments The two men Jacob and Felix went, but before they did they gave Dom a worried look.
Dominique was breathing heavy as he felt the blood drip slowly down his back, a feeling he did not enjoy. He could not believe how the Princess was talking to the king, it was shocking.

The king looked at her and said," Teagan, you do not have the right to talk to me in that way. This slave does not get to talk to you, if others find out about this they will gossip. I can not afford that". The king looked at the slave and then back at his daughter," Another slave also saw him take the silver utilities".

"You whipping him does not alter the fact that he spoke to me, and does not make the chance of people finding out any less. And what fault lies behind him speaking to me? I asked him a question and he answered." she looked upon her father with cold eyes. This was once that warm man she loved but he had changed in the past years and was now someone she barely knew, "And we have more silver untesils than we need, have you jot said that yourself? Have you not been wanting to throw them away?" Teagan bare feet were growing cold, butbshe hardly noticed, "What is wrong with you father, that you are finding even the slightest excuse to be cruel."

message 53: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments "Enough!".
The king had had enough of her, he looked to her and gave her a harsh look. He would not punish her now, instead he let her think about what she had done. He turned around and left he me there.

Dominique was starting to feel his consciousness fade from him. He felt like his feet were going to give out.

message 54: by [deleted user] (new)

Teagan glared at her father, tears stinging her eyes. She rushed over to the gardener. Her fingers fiddle with the knot that bound him to the tree. She finally untied him and caught him when he fainted. She sat him down and leaned him againt the tree. She looked around frantically and spotted the fountain. She tore off part of her under cloth and dipped it into the water. The she went back to the tree and kneeled beside the man. She gently patted his face with the cloth.

message 55: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments Dominique finally regained consciousness as he felt the soft pat of wet cloth on his face. He had opened his eyes to see the Princess giving him a guilty look, like this was her fault.
"Princess", he said weakly.
"I am truly sorry I am in such a mess", he tried to joke, he let out a weak laugh and gave her a soft smile as he leaned his head back on the tree.

message 56: by [deleted user] (new)

Teagan smiled softly and continued to wipe his face. "Dear gardener you did no wrong." she said softly. Her breathing was calm and it was all silent in the darkening garden.

message 57: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments Dominique smiled weakly and softly to her, his eyelids drooping down threatening to close. He looked to her and breathed out," My name is Dominique, princess". He did not want to be known as the gardener forever.

message 58: by [deleted user] (new)

"And mine is Teagan." she did not like to be called princess. She supported him and looked at his back, "Does it hurt?" she asked

message 59: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments Dominique clenched down on his teeth and tighten up as he felt her touch on his," Yes, it does. But I can stand the pain". He looked behind himself to her and sighed, he had experienced much more than she even wanted to imagine.

message 60: by [deleted user] (new)

((Sorry!))

Teagan looked around, "I am going to go get a nurse. Will you be alright by yourself for a little while?" she asked

message 61: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments Dominique smiled and nodded his head numbly," I shall be fine, Teagen. I have suffered much more than what your father has given me". He looked at her softly and gave her a reassuring look, hoping to calm her slightly.

message 62: by [deleted user] (new)

She sighed, "Yet I cannot allow you to be injured under my behalf and do nothing about it." she said sadly smiling. She felt guilty for what had happened, she should have not spoken to him as she had. If she hadn't this gardener would be much better off right now.

message 63: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments Dominique suddenly looked at her, he shook his head and said," No, princess. It is not because of you I am injured. It is not a burden for you to bare, you must understand that". He would not allow her to think that any of this was her doing, he would not allow it at all.

message 64: by [deleted user] (new)

"Oh? Then why was my father whipping you under the name of something I did?" she asked. The sky was growing dark and Teagan knew it was about time for dinner.

message 65: by [deleted user] (new)

?

message 66: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments "You were simply talking, Teagen, it is not your fault. You did not know your father would do this", Dominique reassured. He winced as he moved and felt his skin ache painfully, he bit down on his tongue to stop him from shouting out in pain.

message 67: by [deleted user] (new)

Teagan's face grew serious. "Stay here, I am going to get alcohol, healing herbs, and bandages." she said standing up.

message 68: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments Dominique nodded quickly and calmly. He watched her leave which made him feel alone and slightly worried. He must be holding her back, it was sunset, supper was almost ready.

message 69: by [deleted user] (new)

Teagan went into the nurse's office and asked for the things. She gathered them up and quickly returned.

message 70: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments Dominique breathed in and out softly, trying to remain calm and collected. He looked up at Teagen and said jokingly," Welcome back".
He pushed himself away from the tree and did not lean back.

message 71: by [deleted user] (new)

Teagan kneeled back down next to him. She took out the alcohol from the beige bag that was slung over her shoulder. "We have to wash it first. This is going to hurt...a lot." she also pulled out a bit of leather and handed it to him "Bite down on this." she instructed.

message 72: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments Dominique nodded and quickly put the bound leather in his mouth. He looked at the alcohol and then back at the princess, he was ready for this. More than ready. He looked at Teagen and said softly," Go on, it is okay".

message 73: by [deleted user] (new)

She nodded before opening the bottle. She held it by his back and slowly started to pour the liquid down his back.

message 74: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments Dominique felt the burn almost instantly, his eyes widened and he bit down on the leather as hard as he could. He still moaned slight but he kept his hands together in front of him.

message 75: by [deleted user] (new)

"I'm sorry." she said as she continied to pour it. Finally she stopped the flow of the liquid and set it aside. She took out a jar filled with a dark green paste. "This will help your back heal, and it will feel cold and nice. It might hurt a little while I am applying it though." she said as she opened up the jar. She put some in her hand and started to apply it as gently as she could.

message 76: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments Dominique shook his head, reassuring her that he was fine and that she should continue.
He bit down on the leather more and closed his eyes, he tried to forget about the feeling of the burning. But suddenly it felt okay.
He spat out the leather and sighed," That feels better". He breathed heavily, in and out.

message 77: by [deleted user] (new)

She continued to spread the past.around his whole back, making sure she covered every wound. When she was finished she brought out the bandages. "Do you have a place to stay tonight?" she asked. She knew of a warm place he could stay.

message 78: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments Dominique sighed slightly and then looked aside to the princess.
"I usually sleep in the barn, my lady", he replied. Though he did not want to admit that to the princess, he did. He was a slave after all.
He had no right to own a bed or his own room.

message 79: by [deleted user] (new)

"That is no good. I will give a better room to stay tonight, though not by much." she said. He could not stay out in the barn in this condition. She began to rap the bandaging around his upper torso.

message 80: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments Dominique looked down to see the princess inches away from him, though she was not paying attention as to what he was paying attention to. He caught her wrist and looked her in the eye," You are walking on dangerous ground, my lady. What if the King finds out and does something horrible to you?".

message 81: by [deleted user] (new)

"He cannot do anything to me, sir. I am his eldest daughter. He needs me." she said and resumed wrapping his bandaging.

message 82: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments Dominique simply stared at her softly, he looked away soon after, not saying anything.
He could tell that she was strong, not the typical women of their time. She was strong, independent.
He let her continue what she was doing, letting go of her wrist and not speaking.

message 83: by [deleted user] (new)

Soon she was done wrapping. "There, how is that?" she asked gently, slightly smiling. ((Sorry for the shortness :o))

message 84: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments ((It's fine))
Dominique looked away suddenly and then back at her, he nodded and said gratefully," Thank you, you did not need to. I am very grateful". He looked to her and have her the smallest smile, hoping it showed her that he was truly grateful.

message 85: by [deleted user] (new)

She touched his shoulder lightly. "Do you think you will be able to stand?" she asked him, wanting to move him to a more comfortable location where he could rest.

message 86: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments Dominique nodded and then placed both his hands on the tree, he used it as support to get up and then sighed. He looked to her and reassured," It is okay, my lady, thank you for all your help".

message 87: by [deleted user] (new)

She nodded, her eyes warm, and face kind. "If you ever need any sort of help do not be afraid to ask me. I will always aid a friend." she said, lightly touching his face before walking away.

message 88: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments Dominique smiled and bowed his head, a simple reply to her for his gratefulness and gratitude. As she walked away he whispered a soft," Thank you, Teagen".
He watched her walk safely into the palace grounds and turned towards the stables, he walked slowly and carefully.

message 89: by [deleted user] (new)

Teagan walked back up to her chambers. She asked her lady-in-waiting, Ruth, to draw her a bath. She looked at the rose that she had picked earlier, and smiled softly.

message 90: by [deleted user] (new)

?

message 91: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments When Dominique had finally sat down for a rest in a bed he sighed in comfort, he had not slept in a bed for so long. But suddenly the door burst open and his sister came running in," Dominique!".

message 92: by [deleted user] (new)

Teagen undressed and lowered herself into the bath. She rested for a few moments before a few maids came in and began to scrub her skin.

message 93: by [deleted user] (new)

?

message 94: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments (Sorry! Should we skip?)

Dominique and his sister at there for hours, talking. But she could not get over the fact of what had happened. "How dare he!", she shouted," You did nothing wrong! And this is what he does to you!". Dom did not say anything, he let her be angry.

message 95: by [deleted user] (new)

((Yeah sure. I have to go to school right now though))

message 96: by [deleted user] (new)

((Sorry!))

The next morning Teagan woke up early and went out to the stables. She walked into one of the stalls and saddled up her horse. She was wearing a dark blue cloak over her tight fitting trousers and loose white shirt. She quietly led herbhorse out of the stabels.

message 97: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments Dominique had been awake for quiet a while now, the cuts and bruises on his back had kept him from a good sleep. So now, in the morning, he was out in the field picking crops for the royal families meal tonight for supper.

((It's okay))

message 98: by [deleted user] (new)

((Sooo Sorry!!!))

Teagan mounted her horse, and set off in a gallop, anxious to get away from her prison. She steered her horse down the dirt road. She longed to take off into the forest, but there had been bandit sightings recently, and she dared not risk it.

message 99: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments Dominique felt sharp pains every time he reached for the crops. He had to keep going otherwise he would get a harsher punishment, one more painful.

message 100: by [deleted user] (new)

Teagan rode by the crops, on her way to a nearby fishing village. She slowed her horse down as she passed, looking over her hardworking people, her eyes sympathetic. She slowed her horse to a stop and smiled kindly at the dirty faces of the people who had stopped their work to look at her.
