What I don't understand is why it takes 6+ months to publish a book. We had to wait from December to June for Entwined and now we were told that Captivated would be released end of 2013 beginning 2014. That is a long time for someone to publish a book. If your publisher cannot keep up with demand, then maybe you should find another publisher. It only took me 2 days to read Entwined and I have to wait until the publisher is ready? What about the people who buy the books, who actually pay full price for the books, and how the publisher gets paid? We should not have to wait for the publisher to do their job. Most of the fans have read Entwined at least twice by now and are still waiting. Put it out for pre-order and those who pay for it that way should get it first, if you don't pre-order then make them wait for it to hit the shelves. This is really BS to make people wait for 6+ months for a book series that should have been a trilogy and not a 5 book series!

I totally agree. But she's not the only one - SO MANY authors now-a-days stretch the books out for months to full year and it just doesn't make sense to me.

I usually forget what the trilogy is about by that time and have to re-read the first one to remember the characters! That's not good.

I agree with both of you. I haven't voiced out any complains about the series until now. When I read the ending with Entwined with You, I didn't know it wasn't gonna be a trilogy. My initial reaction was "what the f***?!" but then I realized.. more Gideon, so yay! XD The WAIT however. Gah! I've been checking out her website, and her facebook group for posts on the release date at least three times a week and still nothing. It's not cool to keep readers hanging this long. Especially if you read the readers' reactions on the series having two more books. You're right about the re-reading part too. I've read all three books twice now.

A teaser is out and everyone's jumping out of their seats. She posted last June 2013 that "I'm now, at this late date, working on finalizing the publication of Books 4 and 5. Does that mean the books are ages away? No. Everyone wants to wrap up the series (including me!) as soon as possible and I expect we'll have a firm date for the publication that I can share within the next two weeks or so. It's not going to be a year away!!". For some reason she wasn't able to keep her word but the worst part is she keeps brushing off on questions about the release date. It's a little rude not to answer. She answers all other questions but those. I hope she responds even just to apologize for the long wait and explain. Everyone's getting a little nutty [including me] cause we have a teaser but no update on the release date whatsoever. :'(

There is NO release date as of yet. And it's almost 9 months since the release of EWY.

I totally agree with all of you! Okay, fine, I like Gideon, would totally love to read about him again but not as a whole new book! Why can't SD just finish the story in book 3 and give us maybe a few different epilogues of how the happily-ever-after is for them? Honestly, when I got the the third book, I was SUPER, MAJOR excited! I thought "Finally! I get to the happy ending after everything!" But now, I'm just slowly getting angrier (I hate that!) I really love the Crossfire Series but sometimes I just ask myself, is it really worth it?
And I honestly can't answer that. :(

This is a comment someone left on Sylvia's FB page....You said it was going to be out before the end of last year and we all know how that turned out .......I had to laugh, but someone should tell the poster she will be blocked by morning LOL.
