Tried to start a thread about it in the WWII buffs group but got no takers, so I thought I'd try again here. It's a 7-part series, last installment was today.
IMHO the first couple of installments are sort of dull. But if you stay with it you realize that it's not just about how to sell a fake Vermeer. It's about collaboration, complaisance, and self-deception on a grand scale.
Lots of spirited commentary from the readership, too. Hope someone here might find it interesting!
