Hunter Klein told me about Stegner's novel. He recommended it for AP Summer read. What do you think?
Jonathan wrote: "I'm reading Revolt in Syria: Eye-Witness to the Uprising by Stephen Starr for a research paper on intervention in Syria for rhetoric class as well as Saul Bellow's Herzog for another paper on Saul ..."
Ah...rhetoric.
The Nobel Chicago class sounds truly engaging. Who else will you read in that course?

I would definitely recommend Stegner for AP english. He is such a breath of fresh air. He knows how to write a captivating story, but one of depth.

Rhetoric has actually been one of my favorite classes thus far, though a lot of that has to do with my professor. She reminds me a bit of Mrs Sumner.
I'll only read Bellow for Nobel Chicago as he's the laureate I chose to research for my paper. I do wish he more of a story to accompany his hundreds of pages of observations.

So far so good. Through a Marxist perspective, we are currently discussing how celebrities could be vessels for the bourgeoisie of American society much like the handmaids in their dystopic world. Can we say Miley Cyrus? :/
I just finished

Looking for a new read with lovely words and memorable lines. Any suggestions?
