What would you do if you didn't know your dad and it turns out he is a Greek God? The science fiction novel I read was THE LIGHTNING THIEF by Rick Riordan about a boy named Percy Jackson whose father is Poseidon the sea God and he has to find Poseidon’s brother Zeus’s lightning bolt before they cause a war. The New York Times Book Review says that this novel is “perfectly paced, with electrifying moments chasing each other like heartbeats.” In my perspective I think this book is really good especially for people both genders 10 and over that like to learn about Greek Gods and fantasy. Rick Riordan has made other series which include of The Heroes of Olympus, The Kane Chronicles, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians series which THE LIGHTNING THIEF is the first book of that series.

This book really sounds interesting.I really loved it how you started out with a question, it wanted me to read more. This book sounds sad & disappointing , because imagine not knowing your dad & finding out he's a Greek god. Good job Mercy!
