Tim McGovan | 3 comments I am writing my author profile and using the The Girl with the Green Eyes tag but it is linking to another book with the same name. For the moment I have left it in italics instead but any help to resolve this would be greatly appreciated!

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 316 comments The Girl with the Green Eyes is yours. In the book link the number should be 18298111 instead of 169652. Does that help at all?

Tim McGovan | 3 comments Follow the link in my post - it takes you to a completely different book. I have used the tag to create the link so can't see how to specify my book instead of Boyd's one!

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 316 comments Are you typing in the html yourself (using the parameters specified in "(some html is ok)") or are you clicking the add book/author link? I guess what I'm wondering is exactly what you mean by "tag."

EDIT: Okay, I went into another author's profile to see what you're talking about. Looks like you're probably typing it in like it shows you when you click "tips." There's the Harry Potter example, right?

Instead of just {The Girl with the Green Eyes} (with square brackets), you need to type in {The Girl with the Green Eyes|18298111}. When you go to your book page, that same number is in the URL. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18298111.The_Girl_with_the_Green_Eyes. If you don't specify with the book number, I think it picks the most popular version. Oh, and each edition has a different number, if, say, you wanted to link to the hardcover or paperback specifically.
