If anyone is missing me...

Just in case anyone finds me missing for a couple of days. I received news early this morning that my grandfather has passed away and is no longer with us. This is my first real loss to death that I can actually remember.

My grandfather was a great man, he was funny and loved life very much. He leaves behind my brother and I, his sons (my dad), (his mentally handicapped son) David, his wife and my mom. God Bless his soul, I am still in very HEAVY denial about all of this.

Hi Sarah, I'm so sorry about your grandfather. My father died 12 years ago and I still think of him everyday, so I know how hard it is to lose someone so close to you. I'll be thinking of you.

Alright so we got some news from this hospital, they revived him but he is like a vegetable. He could live on everything they have him on for a couple of days to a week. He suffered a major heart attack.

I'm so sorry Sarah. It's probably harder this way than a quick, clean break. My grandfather was in the same situation. I can certainly sympathize.

We recently lost my grandma (mamaw, as everyone called her, related to her or not), and she's one of those that you think is never going to die. So I feel for you. :(
