What to do when you've finished the First Draft

I start editing the previous draft, I always leave 6-8 weeks before editing a first draft, you need to get some distance before attacking it.

I think I'm on phase 2 French!
I'm having a break.:0
I have been re-reading and editing after each chapter.

I re-read and Edit after each chapter but still check again.I add bits in that I hadn't thought of before too.
I must be on phase 2 cos I'm in break mode at present!
As I've never written before this is great advice but we all do things differently I suppose.I think there's is always something even the best author has missed.
