Al "Tank" (alkalar) | 7 comments Joseph Lexxus and the Drug Runners of Altair. Two teens (Joseph and PC) stumble onto a drug running operation on another planet. Then Joseph's dad disappears. It's an eBook.

On sale now for 99 cents at Amazon and Smashwords (normally $3.99).

Many books by Robert Heinlein will take you far away for adventures beyond imagination: The Rolling Stones (no, not the rock group), Red Planet, Between Planets, Starman Jones are all good stories aimed at teens. Don't know how many of these are available as eBooks. You can probably score some of them at a used book store. You can't have mine. I want to read them again (and again, and again).

Melliott (goodreadscommelliott) If you like fantasy, try Finnikin of the Rock, Froi of the Exiles, and Quintana of Charyn, a trilogy by Melina Marchetta. The first book is solidly good, but the other two are A-MAZ-ING. (You have to read the first one to know what's going on in the other two.)

I like Heinlein too, like Al, but my faves are The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, The Door into Summer, and Citizen of the Galaxy. For more contemporary sci fi, try The Terrorists of Irustan, by Louise Marley, or The Doomsday Book, by Connie Willis (time travel into the Black Death), or The Family Tree, by Sheri S. Tepper.
