Which book in the trilogy is the best?

Many people disagree over whether it's The Hunger Games or Catching Fire! Not many people seem to go for Mockingjay, but there's always got to be somebody!

I have to go with The Hunger Games. It was really action packed, and I was never bored. Catching Fire was also good, however I was a bit annoyed by Katniss's state of mind throughout the book, and(spoiler) Peeta's psychotic mind when he comes back. I wish that Katniss were as strong in Catching Fire as she was in The Hunger Games , but I guess that was the point of it. Still, The Hunger Games was definitely my favorite.

The first. I think there is always something about the first book that makes it the best. Although I like the last one a lot too.

I thought that the sense of "new" in the first book made it seem as though the reader was actually there, and it made Katniss very relate-able. I thought that the second book was next-best, because I really loved the characters and the arena, but Katniss seemed to become less of a firecracker, since she was so absorbed in Peeta's life. The Mockingjay was very good, as well, but the arenas were always most interesting to me.

I saw the movie yesterday!!! I liked both of the books better than the movies, but I think that the movie makers deserve a round of applause for sticking to the plot! :)

I am just pretty upset that in the first movie they left out the part where Peeta and Katniss were lifted from the arena and Katniss is screaming at through the glass as they take Peeta away. Its like, Jen would have been so amazing doing that

Haha when you read the book before you see the movies you always notice the details that were missed or added
