Incorrect Number in Series?

Hi - I am not sure if this is a Librarian issue or not so thought I would post here first and go from there.

If you click on the above link it will take you to the book page for Dark Guardian - in the lighter print and in brackets it says this is book 9 of the Dark Carpathian series. However on the "My Stats" page where it lists all the books read this year when you hover over this book it is listing it as book 8 in the series. Is this some issue with the data entry or is it a bug?

probably just a bug, Dark Legend is the 8th in the series. I'd check again to see if it's been fixed and if not go to the Goodreads Feedback Group and put in a request there.

It was a change in the data, which I have reverted.

On the book page you the information form the series page, but on some other places that information is not shown, but only what is entered in the title field. In this cases that information was wrong.
