The Gold tones are better, it fits in with the whole, Jake being the sun, theme.

:) It also excentuates the skin tones, of the wolf pack. As well as the amazing views of La Push during the summer.

Also I think that the vamps looking less pale is a good thing. They are suppose to be beautiful not Eddie Munster and sorry to say but in some shots that's exactly what Rob looked like. I hope they do better with the makeup. Make it more realistic. The Vampire makeup in Interview with the Vampire or True Blood are the direction they should take it in.

and yeah, the gold looks better cuz it looks more realistic. i didnt really notice the blue in twilight, but i wasnt exactly looking for it either. but i did notice that the coloring was a little... dull? but tahts how all movies make the coloring, once you compare it to the 'behind the scenes' segments. idk why that happens...

The blue stood out like crazy to me.

i also agree. In blue it looks depressing.

But I think that since the book is set in summer it's also appropriate. Summer isn't normally blue.

I hope it's not red tint...*shudders* Eclipse would be even more bloody!
If they set thier mind to it, they could. I mean, they did blue tint didn't they?
If they do that they mine as well just do gold again though.

Just a joke but, should Eclipse be dark like shadows? Can't fight with an Eclipse!

I love that Idea, joke or no joke. :)

Hate to sound repetitive. Maybe the Jacob is the sun theme?
Dark, forbidden, ominous love?
Well, wasn't Chris Weitz other film The Golden Compass also in gold tint?

When I found out that twilight didn't get a budget like Harry Potter, I was upset. Although, I admire how Catherine Hardwicke streached the funds.

You got a point.
Yes, after reading the notebook and companion, it was evident they put their blood, sweat, and tears into it.
The funny thing is, that without the use of green screen in Twilight, it looked more believable. My eyes believed that they (The Vampires) could run twenty five miles per hour. Wires rock!
I watched Harry Potter last night, and there was no comparison, since they used so much green screen. Whenever they did, you could see a faint white outline around Daniel Radcliffe, whenever there were quidditch scenes. It was like he was over a painted background...Which was probably what it was, a painted background in CGI.

I love the films! I haven't gotten around to reading the books, so everything I know about Harry Potter comes from them. I'm a total geek about the films, and my jaw almost touched the floor when Sharda told me the books were better. I've never missed them in theatres, I'm going to search the couch cushions for my AMC card, to see if I can't see the latest soon. I have the first four on DVD, and I just finished downloading the fifth on my computer. :D

Well, Twilight blue is an Edward tint, and New Moon gold is a Jacob tint, and Eclipse is very fire and ice.
What do you get when you mix blue and yellow (gold)? Green! Green tint?

Maybe I should pitch some stuff to Summit.
The New Moon trailer and recently released stills from the movie have revealed that New Moon will not have the same blue tint that Twilight did. I’ve made the image above which roughly approximates the old Twilight look on one half of an image from New Moon and keeps the other side as it will be in the movie.
How do you feel about this change–do you think it is for the best, or do you wish it still had the icy tones of the original movie instead of the new golden look?
