Hmmm...It could be a candle, but then it's not really clear. I'd vote no.

I've heard from Kimberly, so she should be commenting on your thread soon. I haven't heard from Hyacinth yet though.

Someone asked me about another cover, again for candle, so I'd really appreciate a few opinions. Do you think the chandeliers look like they're holding candles or candle-shaped bulbs?

Woohoo!!!

Thanks. It is really hard to tell online, however I own a copy of the book and think it looks like it does have candle-shaped bulbs. I guess what I'm really asking is should they be allowed? I didn't specify when I did the cover categories that everything had to be one way. For instance holding hands, I personally thought of a couple, but it could just as easily be a father & child, mother & child, friends, etc. and I would accept any of those. Do you think I should do the same with candle?

I have the book on my kindle and agree that it is candle shaped. The book is set in 1880 and first demonstration of electric light bulb was 1879 (or so it says on the internet). So, who knows. What are the odds that it would be an electric chandelier so close to when light bulbs came out. (My husband said they wouldn't have had the capability to do that right away). I am thinking they are candles.
The book I am going to read has the candles behind the man in a candelabra setting. This would kind of be a similar thing.

Okay, thanks for the input...I wasn't sure, but I'm going to say it does work :)

All formats of books are allowed for this challenge and they may be any genre.
Books must be at least 150 pages long,if you're unsure of the length of your book just ask and I can see if I can find it.

It's over a 150 pages and has a candle on it, so yes :D

Can I use this as my free space"
The only requirements for the free space are that the book is 150+ pages and that you start it after the first cover category was called. So if that fits this book - yes :)

No you haven't :) This round the covers are being called every other week, so the next one won't be posted until the 8th :)

The girl has what looks like pearls around her head, but it could also be a braid. So I'm not sure.

It's a tough one. I looked up the definition of tiara, which said "a jeweled ornamental band worn on the front of a woman's hair". I also looked up crown, which said "a circular ornamental headdress worn by a monarch as a symbol of authority, usually made of or decorated with precious metals and jewels".
Since it circles her head, looks like some sort of jewelry, and the main character is a princess I'm going to say yes.

Correct.
Correct.
Okay I have a question for all of the players. Would you mind if team 5 only had three players? I tried to find a backup player, but (so far) no one has said they'd like to do it and so the team is at a standstill. Just let me know your thoughts on it and I'll take whatever the majority opinion is. Thanks.
Thanks Dawn, Caitlyn, and Brittany! I'll wait a little while longer to see if anyone else has a problem with it, but hopefully they won't :)

I do have a question - I recently read "Once Upon a Prince" but since I read it before the first cover category was called, I can't use it for Crown/Tiara. Is that correct?
Shannah wrote: "I don't have a problem with it."
Thanks! :)

Sort of. If you read it more than six months ago, which it sounds like you didn't, than you could reread it. But even if you would have read it after the first cover category (CC) was called you couldn't have counted it for Crown/Tiara unless you started it after the category that it fits was called. The only exception is the Free Space, as that category is never called and so it only needs to be started after the first CC was called. Hopefully I'm making sense. :)
Thanks! :)

Yes. That makes complete sense! I am bummed b/c now I have to find another book (lol), but I completely understand! :p
Thanks everyone for being understanding and allowing team 5 to have one less player. I removed Hattie, so now we have our first stamp :)
