Does anyone know if this is being made into a movie?
there is a film but it is in Germany and I haven't heard any news about an American film
I knew about that. ive actually seen it. but I was wondering if they were also gonna film the second book
"Ruby Red" is already available on DVD and "Saphire Blue" is currently being filmed. They're German productions, however, I don't know about availability in other countries. On the Ruby Red DVD has English subtitles available and it even has an English audio track.
Do you think the Ruby Red films will come to America after they have made all the films and have the American version like they did for The girl with the dragon Tatoo
nice to hear that saphire blue is being filmed! I didn't know, that's why I made the topic : )I bought the dvd about a week ago, and I can honestly say that the english audia is really nicely done.
I hope there would be an American Version too..!!! That would really be very exciting to watch.. how they could put in into a film in their own version.I watched the Rubinrot.. the english dubbed version but originally in German and I loved it!!! I can't wait to see the Part two next year! :)
On imdb.com they recently updated the Saphirblau page to show that it is post-production, which I take to mean that it has finished filming. I purchased Rubinrot recently through Amazon.de when it became available on DVD. It'll probably be another year before I can buy the second, and even then watching it is tricky. The disc came with an incompatible region code.
I enjoyed the movie, only I thought the costumes looked like just that... costumes. Either way, I wouldn't mind if they US made their own version of the movie. More is better in this case.

I did a bit of research and found someone who used a free downloadable movie player. I haven't tried it et but here's hoping *fingers crossed*
According to IMDB.com it's in post production. Rubinrot was released dubbed into English within the year it was released. I saw it in American English Sept 2013. There's no reason to think this won't be dubbed also.

Has anyone found the movie sapphire blue in english online for free ? I've been searching for it and i can't find it anywhere , i only found the first movie rubinrot on this site called solar movie but still searching for the sequel in english :\

Don't trust those scams, it's all a trap and I'm sure it's not the real film anyways.

EDIT: I was referring to the book Saphir Blau.
This book did get a movie and has already been in theatres in Germany. It will be availabe in Germany on dvd march 5th.
