He held her close as he fell asleep
She woke up the next morning and realized she had forgotten to put on the ointment.
He was still sleeping when she woke
She had forgotten at her house. She left him a note that she was going home to make her brother some breakfast and possibly lessen her punishment for running off.
He woke up and saw her note and frowned a little seeing that she had left and gone back home
She was rapidly cooking up the best breakfast she had ever made.
Carl was passed out from drinking on the couch
She made waffles benedict, fresh homemade orange juice with a hint of mint, toast, bacon, and set out her best jams and marmalades.
He woke up groggily at the smell of the cooking food. He frowned a little thinking about not finding her last night. He strode into the kitchen," Where were you last night?" He demanded
"What are you talking about?" she asked, fearing the hangover but trying to be strong this time.
"I went looking for you and you weren't here." He said coming up and standing next to her
She tried to think of something on the spot, "I was exploring in the attic. I found a knew nook so I took a book up there to read. Don't you want breakfast?"
He frowned," we have an attic?" He asked," yes I want breakfast.... Then you are going to show me this spot you found."
She nodded, "It's on the table and still hot." She went to her room. She knew they had an attic but had never figured out how to get there. There was a window so they climb up.
He nodded a little and went into the dining room to eat. He smirked at all of the food she had made. He sat down and ate until he couldn't eat anymore
He walked up to her room," Alright show me this spot."
"It's out here," she climbed out her window and tried not to look down. Her room was on the third floor. If she fell, she'd die.
"Okay." He said following her out. If she was ever in the attic he would just have to do whatever up there
She tentatively scaled the creaking wood and shingles, knowing if she fell he wouldn't catch her until she reached an attic window she forced open. The air was dank and musky but she crawled in none the less.
He followed her not caring about the heights. hE got into the attic and looked around.
She asked, "Can we go back down now?"
He looked around," You were really up here all night?" He muttered softly.
"Whatever, let's get out of here."
He followed her down and into her room
She went to grab a book. Bending over...
He stared at her when he came back into the room
She grabbed it looked up and sighed, "Don't you have work?"
He frowned," Are you trying to get rid of me?"
In reality yes, but if she said that she'd get a beating, "No."
He nodded," Good answer little one." He said walking out if her room shoving her a little
She fell to the floor and sighed.
She took her book, read a chapter and went out to the woods to meet with nick.
Nick walked into the woods after he has breakfast
He walked to the spot wear they met everyday
She was reading "Of Mice and Men."
He sat down next to her and looked at the book she was reading
"It's 'Of Mice and Men'; it's really interesting," she said looking at her pages."
"Sounds like a good book." He said softly
