In the fantasy novel The Throne of fire by Rick Riordan in the exposition Sadie and Carter Kane need to save the World by defeating the serpent Apophis to do this they they try to unleash the sun god Ra. In the rising action Carter and Sadie get the first scroll by robbing a museum. Then Sadie has to defeat to gods along with the help of the dwarf god Bes.
"Our friends are hurt and I have a flaming scroll attached to my hand." While reading this quote stuck out to show the theme care about others before yourself. Would you face a griffin with no help. Well thats what Carter Kane did and he did not care what happened to him he just wanted to protect them.
