Streets of Laredo "The final book of Larry McMurtry's Lonesome Dove tetralogy..." Goodreads has it listed as Lonesome Dove #2

My wife gave these books to me and I'm not sure of the order in which to read them. I think Goodreads listing of the series, Lonesome Dove #1, #2, #3, and #4, is incorrect.

The order here on Goodreads is the order in which they were published. Although you are correct that the chronological order of the books' events are different, I hesitate to change the series order on GR without explicit guidance from the author.

You could create a second series for the order in Post #1 and link the two series in the description to show each. I did that with the 20-volume Zola series.
