Hey Can we cut back on the making of topics? If we make a few more general categories it will cut down on people having to browse so much for the topic they want. Thanks!
From what I've seen though is that adding lots of threads spurs more conversation. The broad and general topics are at the top of the group
and the more specific detailed threads are at the bottom. It's by design!

hey what days in April should we have the BOTM? I'm thinking it should be two or three days but what days of the week? A friday and a saturday? friday, saturday, sunday? Thoughts?

sounds good!
sounds good!
I think we should have a folder where people can make their own personal thread and keep track of things in there. What should we call it? Some people call them lockers... Any ideas?
I love those sometimes though feel people make them and don't use them. Or a selected few use them.
It depends. I think it's a great way to keep your challenges and buddy reads together for each group.
This really off topic but I had this idea.

Hey, I'd like to start three new things in the group
I saw these things in Crazy for Young Adult Books and thought it would be fun to use them in this group:
1 - a Monthly Page Count

2 - Top Reads (Monthly Recap)

3 - Scavenger Hunts

Hmm... maybe we should assign mod duties.
I think our main priority should be to entice more participation. Any ideas on what to add to get more participation? And I'd like to do something to celebrate our reaching 1,000 members. Any ideas on what we should do?

I like that! I made the challenge :)
Any more ideas for celebrating 1,000?

So I don't know what to do exactly...
We have tons of threads and games where people comment and keep participating. I want some new things/features though that will make people want to participate.
Do you know of any thread or challenge ideas that people seem to like and participate in? I'm hesitant to add tons of challenges because I don't want this group to be challenge-based. Maybe we could add one more challenge. Any ideas?
We have the Book Pool Challenge but one more would be nice.

For right now we don't have too much for duties and stuff...
For the longest time it was basically just me doing everything XD
Ok so here is what I usually do:
Book Pool Challenge Sign-ups
Polls & Poll Invites
New Threads
Messages
Commenting (a lot) and Welcoming People
(this group doesn't need that much maintenance)

Ok that would be great!
Are there any challenges that you do in other groups that you really like doing, and it seems that lots of people participate in?

Haha ok well do you think you could establish, start, and run those two challenges in this group?
Sounds great! And I'm always messing around with the organization of the group and the topics. Do you like it?
haha yeah this group has 70+ folders XD
We have an archives folder that just doesn't appear on the homepage :)

OK so looking good everyone! Back from school vaca so I'll be back on more now. Thanks for taking care of the group. Any concerns yall need to notify me of?
Nope I think we're all good Elle! ;)
The winner of the mod hunger games was Cheyenne (Once Upon A Time) and I added Hannah a few weeks ago. Just today I added Kitty. Cheyenne is super-active. Hannah is great with organizing challenges. Kitty has great ideas and always puts 110% in her modding positions.

Sorry how does that work exactly?
I think one thing we could do is a scavenger hunt with celebratory words in it like "cake, party, confetti, etc.." where people read books and catalogue when and where they find these works in their books.
