I have all of you UK mods to thank for that addition. I kept seeing it pop up in your feeds that you liked it so I decided to give it a try. (Regardless of the ridiculous US title. :P )
Thank you Margo and Wayland!

I just realised you called me a UK mod a few posts back Hybrid . Oh no. Wrong country :-p.
When are you hoping to close the sale

In a bid to give my ereader some love after a very long abcense from using it (sparked by the other thread discussing them) I purchased Bitter Seeds by Ian Tregellis through my kobo. It is never at my local book store and I saved a bunch of money this way. So far I've read the first few chapters and really enjoy it. His Alchemy Wars series has been great thought two books as well.

Sorry Paul! lol. May 17th is the closing date if all goes as planned.

It is. I need to finish the series, but the books were kind of expensive last I looked.

I keep them on my wish list waiting for them to go down so I can continue the series, but they never budge on price.

At the conference I was at this past weekend, I got Scattered, Smothered and Chunked - Bubba the Monster Hunter Season 1 which is pretty much what it sounds like.
While Bubba is a good ol' boy, he avoids a lot of negative parts of that stereotype. His best friend/dispatcher, who Bubba compares to Oracle from the comics at one point, is a gay man and Bubba's best friend. There's a lot of puns, interesting spins on fighting monsters in the modern day, and odd jokes. Can't really call it urban fantasy, as Bubba is not an urban critter.

Bought Assassin's Fate last night as Robin Hobb was doing a signing and talk! I'm not one for spontaneous trips/events, but I booked my tickets that afternoon and then panicked over whether I'd get there in time. It was a brilliant evening and the illustrator Jackie Morris was also there to sign too. I met some lovely people and had a fab time chatting to fellow fans :)

Thanks! I think I'll be popping back into that shop every now and then!

I did buy all 3 of the The Paper Magician series for $2 each. Not a bad deal at all.

My regular bookstore finally got copies of Sharp Ends by Joe Abercrombie.
It is a collection of short stories from the First Law series.
Super.
Excited.

I got Astrophysics for People in a Hurry since it's an area that's always interested me and I don't mind giving money to Neil deGrasse Tyson.
I got the Pines (The Wayward Pines Trilogy, Book 1): A Novel By Blake Crouch Official Summary and Analysis - BookMarked(Pines Chapter By Chapter Summary, Pines (The Wayward Pines Trilogy Book1), Blake Crouch and the Traitor's Blade trilogy on a Kindle sale. Then I got The House on Durrow Street because I already had books one and three of that series but not the second.

Ooo, I wishlisted that. Let me know how it works out for you?
If you like science books, check out Theodore Gray's books on Elements: A Visual Exploration of Every Known Atom in the Universe and Molecules: The Elements and the Architecture of Everything. Not only interesting with cool visuals but very funny.
There was a big book fair event at the library, so I bought some books from local authors. Most looked very happy.

I also got the two missing volumes in my collection of the Shadowmarch quartet by Tad Williams. I'd been putting off starting it until I had all four books ready to go :-D It's been a long time since I've got stuck into a Williams series!
Shadowmarch
Shadowplay
Shadowrise
Shadowheart
I have that trilogy of Snyder's. Some concepts seem similar to previous books, and I think I liked the Study series a little better, but it's still good.

I picked that up recently too, I've heard nothing but good reports about it. Hoping it'll end up as book of the month for July :-)
