Well. When that feature is made available to everybody else, I am happy to share my books. :)
How is Netflix different? Or you don't have it at all yet?

I think Netflix has different content depending on your location, not sure if that's what Lancer is referring to, but I've read about it elsewhere. It goes both ways though, there are something available in countries other than the US that are not available in the US.

Yes I was referring to the content. Being in Canada we have different content than the American Netflix. We do have the option to trick devices to think they are in the states but you either have to go through a tedious process every week or two to keep this happening, or pay another 6-8$ a month for a program that will do it for you automatically.
I've gone through the process to access American Netflix and having seen both versions the American version has much more and much better content. Whether it's more numerous recent movies or more seasons of shows there is a big difference.

Yep, US Netflix has a LOT more content - and strangely, I think, a lot more BBC shows? When I was living in the Netherlands, Dutch Netflix had waaay more BBC/ITV shows than the UK, and even had the latest series of Doctor Who one week after it had finished airing. It's all to do with licensing rights etc. And most countries have Netflix now, I think a lot of smaller European countries got it last year (I remember a Belgian friend eagerly awaiting its arrival :P).
The red on this map is where you can get Netflix... so yeah, it's almost global!

It would be nice if the licensing etc could be arranged that everyone had the same content but I can see that being difficult

Menolly was my introduction to Pern, absolutely loved the fire lizards and then with the rest of the books the dragons. It's sad that she's no longer around to keep writing, her son just doesn't do it justice

Still sticking to my resolution - no books bought other than Sanderson and books for Ivy!
Bought Mistborn: Secret History yesterday :)

My bank blocked my card based on a book purchase being odd behaviour. Are they feckin kidding me. After mortgage and food books are my third biggest expense. I am going to shout at some poor bank worker down the phone tomorrow on that one. Dumb asses. It was a John Scalzi book so maybe some puppies work in the bank.
I'm excited, tomorrow there is a used book sale at the mall near me and since I only have one class tomorrow I'm taking a day off to get there right as it begins. If not the used book store owners snatch up everything decent before anyone else has a chance.
But not this year!

Take a trolley Lancer
That is really annoying Paul; they sound like a bunch of bankers

Ah, yes, I think I recall seeing your high rating come across my updates feed and that's why the title pinged in my brain when I spotted it at the bookstore. :-)
So I decided to take the day off since I only had one class and didn't really need to go because it was the big used book sale at the mall near where I live and I ended up with a pretty good haul. I honestly could have spent hundreds of dollars but I don't have the shelf space. I should have taken Paul's advice and taken a cart of some sort. So here is what I ended up with:
Hardcovers:
Red Country
The Warded Man
A Canticle for Leibowitz
Stranger in a Strange Land
Paperbacks:
The Colour of Magic
The Long Earth
Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell
The Fionavar Tapestry
Storm Front
Grave Peril
Assassin's Apprentice
Royal Assassin
Assassin's Quest
all together I paid 34$ Canadian so I am very happy right now!

Ooohhh. He's signing near me Tuesday night. I'm thinking about going, but it's late in the evening on a work night. I wish I didn't have to worry about details like that. LOL

A is for Alibi
Rebecca
Hardwired
Continuing Korean: Includes CD-ROM of Audio Recordings
I think I would be hard pressed not to trade the entire haul for Rinns copy of morning star though..

Goldsboro in London have him in on the 23rd as well which will be a bit more intimate than Waterstones
I see I am now faced with the issue of what to read next. It was always a problem but I just went from having 10 or so possible next books to closer to 35. Sigh
That's very true.
The Warded Man will be soon but I think there I'm going g to go through the few that I had set aside to read next prior to buying the bunch that it did.
