I look at a lot of things, here's what will do it for me...- good reviews 3* or higher
- an alpha male hero
- contemporary erotic romance and shifter stories are my favorites, some historical - but NO vampires
- I love a book with a good misunderstanding, nothing to angsty or dark ...I don't like the main characters to be too emotionally flawed or depressing
- guaranteed hot sex!!
- not too long, anything over 12 chapters and it's doubtful I'll read it (this is only my personal preference since I'm a busy mom and read and write shorter novels because that's all I have time for)
- as far as plots go...I love: revenge, enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, too old or too young to be in love, step-sibling rivalry turned lovers
- lastly I want dialogue not description, the more sexy dialogue the better for me
Hope this helps, and if you have books that fit this bill I'd love some recommendations.
There are several things that get me interested in a book:1. Alpha Male always
2. Lately I've been into Motorcycle Club, criminal enterprise, Fifty Shades A-like themes, and darker BDSM themes.
3. Good review or rec from a goodreads friend with similar interests and rating scales.
4. I will read a series but hate short novellas.
I like all of you like my alpha male's,KGI series by Maya bank's,master's sieres by cherise Sinclair and manage m/m/f,can't get enough of the military men, cop's or FBI themes.but they have to reel me in right away, try Lora leigh, lexi blake, shayla black, just to name a few..
I tend to look at the cover, title, and turn it over and read the summary. If it draws my attention with action, alpha males, and steaminess, then it's mine!

Not into criminal but YESYES YES to the others! I also LOVE me some smokin' hot cowboys! ;)
I wont read a book under 200 pages unless its a series...

My current tastes have been bending in those directions too. I'm currently obsessed with sci-fi erotica series. I need to get back into my MC book obsession. I have a few on my Kindle that have been horribly ignored (along with my Biker Book Babes) while I pine for alpha male aliens, lykans, and impregnation scenarios.
Here are a few things that I look for...1. Alpha males!! If it's PNR/UF...even better.
2. Crimes/murders/mysteries...I like there to be suspense & action so it keeps my attention. It's ok if there's romance involved too.
3. Good reviews & ratings.
4. Hot sex is always good.

Hi everyone I have a question since I don't know were to put it who adds books to the bookshelf and why is it only 22
No clue, but I would love to see more than 22 alpha male books we could choose from on this group's list. I'm always looking for the next good alpha read.
The main thing I look for is a passionate plot. I love when a couple need each other more than they need to breathe. Maybe because it's the complete opposite of how I really feel about love. I love the fantasy of that all encompasing desire.

I'm Keri and I was just curious as to what you look for when you're deciding on which book to read next. I've been asking friends and family to see if there are any common questions that everyone seems to want the answers to so are there certain questions you look for answers to while reading book reviews - Why they loved the book, what the characters where like, would they read the book again and again, is this book a series, etc...
You can email me on here or leave a comment. Thanks so much for taking the time to help me out.
