How did the blocks disappear off their hands?

I'm not sure if I missed it but when Sam, Astrid etc went to Coates and Drake made them put their hands in the cement thing to make them have the blocks of concrete on their hands, how did it disappear?

I'm not sure when I was reading it, I may have completely missed it but I was so confused as to how they magically went off everyones hands.

Am I just being stupid or was it obvious in the book? Haha!

If I remember correctly, it was Astrid's brother!

He has a power where he can teleport and/or make things disappear!

Yep, it was Astrid's brother, Little Pete. He has a lot more power than that, but yes, he did get the cement blocks off their hands.

Astrid's brother has the most powerful powers and he got mad and scared so he made the blocks disappear.
