The sky was missing the moon. It was midnight, stars shining brightly in the absence of the orbs. Gabrielle was laying back and kicking her legs, her head in the dandelions.
Dave was siting next to her, he was concentrating hard on something, which only made him look bothered.
"What's wrong?" she asked. "No full moon for you to go wolfie and eat us all?"
" i would never intend to", he said sighing.
" something just feels off today, like it's not going to end well", he said.
"It's already ended, right? Oh wait, 11:58... two minutes to go!"
" yaaay", dave said as he clapped halfheartedly.
" nothing, nothing it's just-", dave stopped as the dandelions behind them started to rustle.
She sat up. "Time for a magic curse!" she laughed, not looking behind them.
" not to hasty", he grunted as the rustling got closer.
(( sorry >w<)) Dave nodded in agreement as he waited to see what came out. He wasn't surprised to see something's body poke out of the ground, at least at first. What rose out of the dandelions was a small beast with it's two literally dark blue jeweled eyes look up at alight up firefly. It stood on it's hind legs which revealed a body shaped like a cat in most ways, but was entirely made out of water. It's two ears, which were shaped more like it's tail, but leading too a shorter point like an antenna flicked in curiosity at the firefly. It's tail flicked up, and it jumped at the firefly to catch it in its cat like paws, but instead the firefly went trough the water beast and fell two the ground drenched. The water beast poked at tbe firefly now making a ," burrrr", sound.
She jumped. "What the heck is that, Dave?!" She grabbed his arm and pulled him back.
He jumped up. " i duno", he said stepping back.(( i have class now.....))
((Okay!))"Run, Dave!" she grabbed his hand.
Dave grabbed her hand and ran as fast as he could.
Dave turned around to see it doing more of a hop run after them,
"Don't look back, run!" Another appeared in front of her and she shrieked.
Dave grunted trying ti stop, but instead he fell onto the beast.
She yelped and yanked him back. They were surrounded.
" pit of all the ways to die, why by water", dave said in aguish.
" i duno, a water elemental? A water beast", Dave said worriedly.
She turned around, putting them back to back. "What's going to happen?"
" i guess we wait and see", dave said trailing off as a small one pranced towards them.
" i wish i had a full moon", dave said as one walked up to Gabriel, it's jeweled eyes showing nothing.
"What do you mean? I was joking about the werewolf stuff, you know that, right? I wish we were back at school..."
" i can't make a joke before i dye", he said chuckling in cold humor as the water beast rose it's paw.
She closed her eyes, clenching her teeth.
It made a soft wine and swatted her again.
She cracked her eyes open, terrified, and jumped. "Dave?"
Dave was busy some how managing to pick one up. " i thought this was water", he asked.
" something stupid it seems like", Dave said poking into one's head. The one in front of G was crouched down with its back arched and tail wagging.
She hesitantly touched it. "It's... soft."
