Janice, I LOVE the badges! You won't believe this, but many years ago I bought a dresser for $15 at an auction. When we got it home we opened the drawers and found a mirror AND an old-fashioned wash board! At that time we lived in a cute little cottage and the washboard came in handy for cleaning small loads of clothes between visits to the Laundromat.

I remember my mom using a wash board with bluing (to keep the whites bright). We had one of those old wringer washers too. My goodness laundry was a whole lot of work back in those days.

And don't forget the clothes line and clothes pins - even in winter! I still remember the day Dad got our first dryer.
