Great score, Peggy! The instructions say that the elephant has to make an appearance. So someone talking about stampeding elephants won't count. And my intention was that they be flesh and bone, not a picture. So 50 pts!

This morning I finished my re-read of Crime and Punishment

I honestly regret reading this book again :(
I read it close to 30 years ago and can't really remember much about it but did have fond memories (especially as I loved the 1949 film adaptation with June Allyson and Elisabeth Taylor so much when a kid).
Going back to it now I found the girls whiny and irritating and the whole feel of the book to be very preachy.
%$#@! I read a book for my fantasy alphabet challenge--only to find out that it had no real Kelpie. Quest for a Kelpie. So then I remembered that I HAD read it some 20 years ago so I thought it would do for here--only it is only 184 pages. "Q" is hard.
@ Lynn: I cam to LW in my late teens, and I was probably already past the age I would have liked it. The most interesting character for me is actually Amy, re Alcott's relationship with the sister that served as the model for the character.

I am so sorry that LW was not a good re-read for you, Lynn.
It is one of my all time favorite books and I read all of LMA's books again when I got my Nook several years ago. I think it was almost one of the first ebooks I read on it. I know that the story is totally dated, but it has always been such a wonderful story for me. It was their feelings of family and their love for each other that always stood out for me. I even bought a copy of Pilgrim's Progress once - just because they were always talking about it.
June Allyson will always be my favorite Jo and Peter Lawford my favorite Laurie.

I read the first 8 books of this series back in the 1990's but somehow never finsihed. Now the series has more than 30 titles. Looks like I will be working on this series for a while! I am glad that I did as I may not have remembered much of the plot but I do remember how much I enjoyed reading it and it was just as good the second time around.
I meant to read something I hadn't read in a few decades. So I read Quest for a Kelpie--and then remembered the minimum page limit. Opps!So I read an old favorite, True Grit

Gaeta,
Your post reminded me of a book that I KNOW I have read in the past (and seen the movie about 100 times), but now I want to "hear" it so I added it to my audible list. Thanks!
Cherie, Donna Tartt does the audio. She is actually pretty good, but the sound quality is weird. Maybe it was done in a home studio. You be the judge.
Woohoo! I'm glad you all completed the challenge. I'm back on the road for the weekend, so will post badges on Monday. That should give everyone a chance to finish posting their results.
