Introduce Yourself to the Group!

I'm into YA, mostly dystopia & contemporary, but always opened to suggestion.
I'm really excited about joining this group and find more books to read!

I'm not the fastest of readers ad easily distracted. So thought I could start with a book a month.
Already downloaded Rosie, so off we go.......

I just joined a few groups on GR today so I would say I'm pretty new. My goal is to read 50 books this year, which isn't too much when you look at it from that being one book a week. But considering I read very few books last year (less than 10, or even 5), it's a bit daunting to me but if I pull it off I'll be really happy with myself!
Happy reading!

I like to read books from every genre too. I always find it hard to list my favorite genres because I don't like to limit myself. Some of my favorite books are ones that cross boundaries and draw from multiple genres. Welcome to the group!

Yay! I hope you enjoy the group. Welcome :]
Autumn wrote: "Hi! I'm Autumn. I am currently 15 books into my 100 book goal. My niches are Supernatural and Romance, but I do venture outside that box occasionally."
Nice, and welcome! You are making great progress. I'm almost 12 into my 76 book goal, which is a lot for me. This is my first full year of being active on Goodreads and beginning with a goal, and it has really motivated me to read every day.
Tasha wrote: "Hi everyone I am Tasha, I am always learning and willing to try new things and stumbled on goodreads."
Welcome, Tasha! I hope you find some new books to read and discuss from the site and learn something new :]
Lissy wrote: "Hey everyone! My names Lissy, and I'm from a small town. My two loves in life are music and literature! I love so many books, but if I've learned anything, I've learned that classics are the best. ..."
I love classics too, much more so when reading with others to discuss it. We are excited to have you - welcome!

I am 25 years old. I live in Pretoria South Africa. I only discovered my reading passion about a year and a half ago, so I haven't always been a reader. I have been part of one other book club for the last year, but decided to join more groups for inspiration and to challenge myself more. I love good food, good wine and a good romance! I don't currently have a favourite author, I read anything and everything.

Hi Ilse-mari, I just finished Wonder myself. It's a very special book. What are you reading now? Just curious.

Hi
I joined to see if I could find some book friends to discuss books with, while at the same time having fun by playing along in some of the challenges. This sounds like a fun group.

My favourite types of books are sci-fi, fantasy and non-fiction about psychology and economics.

So, I guess I haven't introduced myself yet, I always forget it, silly me! <.<
I'm Sabrina, 19, from Germany. I already participated last year, but got very sick and couldn't match my goal. But I've never been much of a quitter, so I'll just try it again :) I mostly read fantasy, sci-fi and mystery; the only exceptions are the YA novels written by Rainbow Rowell and the thrillers by Jan Costin Wagner.

Hi, I'm Samantha and my goal is to read at least 200 books this year. I may raise that goal depending on how I'm doing by July. I have loved reading since I was in elementary school. I also work in a public library as a cataloger and part of the social media team.

My name is Kaleena. I currently live in Chicago with my husband, 1 year old daughter, and our three cats. I decided to join this group to keep myself accountable for the personal reading goal I set for this year. Being the lifelong learner that I am, I have found a reinvigorated passion for reading and hope to instill a similar passion in my daughter as she grows.

If Goodreads counts it as a book (that is, if Goodreads has it or could have it in its system) and YOU want to count it as a book, we're totally fine with it.
I'm in for 101 books for 2014 with a mixture of books, ebooks, and audiobooks. I tend to mix things up between literary fiction, genre fiction, and non-fiction. I've been keeping track of all the books I've read long before Goodreads and the internet. I started in December 1990.
I'll probably reread the Kesey novel for March. It's a great book.

I'm Elsbeth. I'm 40, married and have a son (who will be 8 next month) and a daughter (who will be 5 next month). I work in a bookshop (yes, really) and love reading (duh...), walking in the forest, going to the movies (lately mostly childrens' movies with my kids).
Books I enjoy most are historical fiction, 19th century classics, thrillers, Young Adult (which I can borrow for free at the library at my childrens' cards...), books by Isabel Allende, Stephan King, Marianne Frederikson, Joanne Harris and lots more.
I live in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
