Oct BOTM: Chapters 9-16 Discussion: Between the Devil ATDBS

That makes so much more sense with the glow thing now although that term glow sounds kinda weird. I knew something fishy was going on, but I didn't expect it to be that. Did anyone else predict River's ability?

I don't know how I feel about River anymore. There's just something off about him. I keep expecting something to happen like someone to have a vision of the devil and it not be River's doing. Also, what's up with Jack's dad. He's terrible. I wonder how Jack will play into this story more.

I figured it had something to do with it BUT was on the fence to whether he was bad or not. River has a way of making you want to curl up with him. So is it his devilish abilities? Or is as warm & charming as I hope?

I felt that there was something strange about River but wasn't sure if that was to throw us off what was happening or not. I figured something was up when Violet kept saying how different she would feel when she was in his company like she was lulled into a state of complacency. It was very interesting when we learn about the "glow".
