Now that October is upon us, it's time to hunker down and get into pajama reading mode with warm beverages. What are you reading thus far for October?

In the Library, we are reading "Life, on the Line" by Greg Achatz and Nick Kokonas, for the second book in our Conscious Eating Book Club group at the Library. We are also still reading through "World War Z." We're slow, but steady!

Jillian (jilliemae) | 35 comments I am about half way through "The Passage" by Justin Cronin, as recommended in the WWZ thread by Nancy. It's probably the longest book that I've read, just shy of 800 pages, by I am listening to it on audiobook, which keeps it interesting. It's less about vampires and more about a community and relationships. I'd actually recommend it to anyone who likes community portraits, even if they don't like horror/vampire novels.

Michael (michaelgloversmith) | 4 comments I finally finished DEATH COMES FOR THE ARCHBISHOP, an American masterpiece! Here's Willa Cather on New Mexico: "Elsewhere the sky is the ceiling of the world; but here the earth was the floor of the sky."
