The book is amazing! I love all of Nicholas Sparks novels. I would like to suggest that when you are done reading The Notebook (and if you enjoy it) that you read The Wedding. The Wedding is like a Sequel to The Notebook. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did.
Happy Reading!
By far, my fav NS book, to date. Although,
and
are both ranked high on my list, as well. You really cannot help but love all his stories..

Still my favorite Nicholas Sparks novel. Read it in 1998 and again in 2002. Which brings me to a question....how do you post a book a second time when you reread it?
Not sure that's possible. I suppose you could select another "edition" and re-rate it (ie; paperback, ebook, Kindle edition etc) There is a section you can add how many times you have read a book. Just "edit your review, go to bottom of box and click on "other options"
The Notebook is my favorite love story! Such an amazing book! It was the first book I read by Sparks, and nothing he wrote after that compared for me. Not to say that his other books aren't good, they are, but I just thought The Notebook was the best. This is coming from a person that doesn't read romance!!

Same thoughts from another person who doesn't read much romance.
This is my favorite Sparks book, I can read it over and over again, it never gets old. I'm easily drawn to Noahs laid back and poetic lifestyle, and I can relate to him because we are both laid back and enjoy the simple things in life, and that's why I like to read this book, and the romance is just amazing, it's a great read and the movie is good too, but the book is the best.
