Raevyn "Lucia" [I'm in it for the books] (raevynstar) | 43 comments I'll just copy and paste my review of the book I mentioned above.

"As other reviewers have said, it's a mishmash of other books...
1. The otherworldly aspect is like Lord of the Rings.
2. The basic plot is like Harry Potter
a. Dennis=Quirrel
b. Sabine=Voldemort
c. Winter could be Hermione
d. Leven has black hair and evil parents/guardians.
e. Clover is Dobby.
3. The scene where Leven fired light out of his hands...sounds familiar, doesn't it, Gone fans?
4. It's confusing like The Phantom Tollbooth.
5. Like Lemony Snicket, Obert Skye jumps in with humor or anecdotes at just the right moments.

Did I mention how ugly the covers are for this series?"

(by the way, I gave it 3 stars.)
