Alex | 2 comments Looking for a book: As I recall it was soft cover with a colour illustration. I read it between 1994-1996, in Australia.

Could be wrong but the story was about two children, a brother an sister I think who may have been orphans? Anyway, they were living in a house by the woods, I think they both go into the woods and get trapped in a sort of magical dark forest where they are being hunted. They meet other children there, or at least one who tells them to hide in the branches to escape the monsters/whatever is hunting them. The have to get to a central tree (?) in the forest and when they do there are faces carved inside the tree....

That's all I remember but I've been looking for this book for years. Cheers

Alex--if you bump your thread up periodically (30 to 90 days is the usual time frame) you'll have a better chance at getting it found.
