Okay, here is the video from the Austin Duck Adventures tour where the truck becomes a boat:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-O2Ie2...
More to come including a couple from Pittsburgh that I'd forgotten that I had!
Here is my failed attempt to sneak up on the CRs while they were outside the LBJ Library waiting for Tonya to emerge from the gift shop:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04hH0k...
And, a couple from Pittsburgh in 2012: first, checking out dinosaurs at the Carnegie Institute (watch carefully and you'll see Lynn make an appearance toward the end) and then our dinner at the Church Brew Works -- surely at the top of my list of unusual restaurants I have visited!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ey6ucd...

Thanks, everyone! It was not as good as being there but certainly helps. Loved your account, Allen, and the videos.
Thanks, Allen. The church restaurant was one of my favorites in Pittsburgh. It was nice to see it again.
Well, if you want to see how the video greeting to my dad came out I could post it, as well. Since it was a personal thing I wasn't going to, but he says it's all right by him if I do. The question is, is it all right by everyone who appears in it for me to do so, inasmuch as you're there saying who you are and where you're from, for anyone on the Internet to see. (Not the most flattering lighting, either, but that is a side issue.) If anyone would prefer that I not post it, then I won't.

I have finally caught up to this point. First I was learning a bit about Goodreads, then I read several of the threads, and finally I made it down to here. (Sherry, I am going to find that mark all read feature soon, but a little reading thru has been almost as good as a book.)There was something perfect about getting to this after a break instead of immediately. Sherry, awesome photos, and Allen, nice films!
This year you chose absolutely the right weekend to be in Austin; Sherie (my sister) called today all bummed out because ACL was canceled - they have had I-don't-know-how-much rain, and there is flash flooding all over the city. Looks pretty bad.
As far as I am concerned, St. Louis (or wherever) can't be soon enough!
Tonya!!! So glad to see you here. Flash flooding, huh? Well, they sure could use the rain, but it's too bad about ACL. (Every time I see that, I think of something in Tom's knee that broke.)
Thanks Ruth, Sherry. Good to be back!Talk about flooding! Onion Creek rose 28 feet!! Look at the photos here: http://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/31715...
Wow, Tonya, that really is flooding! It seems to be either feast or famine these days in terms of weather.
Your attendance was one of the many reasons why I hated missing Austin, Tonya. It's wonderful to have you back here.

Thanks for giving your account of things. We do keep busy on these CR trips.
One of my favorite things is when we just sit around and talk which is what we did on Friday night. It was kind of reminiscent of the Dancing Boys evenings, but since our group has gotten so small, we now include the CR gentlemen in our gabfests. Tonya had us laughing so hard I was afraid that someone would come down the hall and tell us to shut up.
I also enjoyed the readings. I read part of the first story of our October reading list book, TENTH OF DECEMBER, and Sherry read the second story from the same book. MAP read a selection from BEL CANTO, and Lynn read a story written by one of her friends. It was all about chickens! Allen read parts of a very funny book, but I don't remember the title. Charles read a portion of CANTERBURY TALES, and we loved his lilting old English.
