Member's Choice Group Read

We’re starting a new group read this month that I’m really excited about.

It’s called Member’s Choice. Each month a member of our group will pick a book to read as a group. There will be a few requirements for the book, but other than these it’s wide open & completely up to the chosen member.

REQUIREMENTS:
*It must be a STAND-ALONE with Paranormal Elements
*It needs to be less than 500 pages (otherwise I’m afraid it won’t get read by many people)
*It needs to still be in print or be available in most bookstores
*Collections of short stories or Anthologies are okay as long as none of the stories are part of a series.

We’ve asked Shannon to select the book for this month. Later we’ll start a volunteer thread for those who are interested in picking July’s Member’s Choice book. Shannon will pick a person from the list. Who ever she picks will select the book for July & also the member who will pick the book for August. (once a member has picked a book they will not be able to pick another book for 6 months to give others a chance to pick a book – the length of time might change based on how many people are volunteering)

After debating between a few books I've decided on:


Sunshine by Robin McKinley

I've had it for years and just never gotten around to it. I'm looking forward to finally reading it and I hope you guys enjoy it too!

I liked Sunshine. I particularly found the female protags "power" to be original. More after folks have read this little gem. I may read it again, but I read it within the year so, given my long tbr list for this month, probobly not.

I read Sunshine a while ago and loved it! This is a great group read selection.

I got my copy of Sunshine from my local library and will start it as soon as I finish Witch Fire...Likely after the weekend. Can't wait.
