Lucy | 9 comments Hi - just after some advice on what to do about my real name, Lucy Chesser and my pen name, Lucy Flood. I have 2 books already written as Lucy Chesser (only 1 of them on Goodreads) and have just published a thriller as Lucy Flood. I would prefer to be found under both names and am happy to have some kind of linked profile. What should I do about this? When I went to claim my author profile page, it prompted me to swap my name to Flood, but at the same time said you prefered for authors to use a real name. It is the Lucy Flood book I am most interested in promoting right now. Thanks Lucy

I've added a cover to "Cut Loose"

You can post the author info & images here. You've claimed Lucy Flood so the Chesser profile won't be included.

Lucy | 9 comments Thanks!
How do I post an image here?
I would like to able to edit my own author profile page. Is that possible?

Lucy | 9 comments Sorry, you must be sick of me!
Just got an email welcoming me to my author profile page, but it is in the name Lucy Chesser and doesn't show the book (Hidden - written under the pen-name) that I'm trying to promote. I can find an author page for Lucy Flood and am linked to it, but I cannot edit it like I can the Lucy Chesser page. Cannot put a photo up and cannot edit the detail. Can you help please?

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments Lucy, if you've like to claim both author profiles, you need to set up a second GR user account under your pen name and claim the second author using that account. There's no way to link one user account to two authors, so you'll need two accounts. (In this case, your pen name would be your "real" name on the second account, since it's what you're really publishing those books under.)

Banjomike | 5166 comments I'm surprised that you were not allowed to claim the account you actually claimed in the other thread:

Lucy | 9 comments I thought I had. Was surprised to see the Lucy Chesser thing come through.
It seems I've stuffed this up. Is there any way to fix it now?

I think you did claim the Flood profile. The link I gave was to Lucy Flood 'cos at that time the Chesser name hadn't come up. It might just be the Goodreads preference for authors using their real names. Just seems a bit odd or maybe it was a mistake. The only people who can change it, or even explain it, would be Customer Support.
