So, we moved, and a lot of our books have yet to be found. This is one of those lost books. No worries, says I! I figure that my parents have a copy. I got them hooked awhile back, and they've been pretty good about picking them up.
But then, when I get to my parents house, no book.
Much weeping, gnashing of teeth, etc...
But surely, the library has it!
Not the one by my house. Or the next closest. Or the next, next, next, next...
THERE ARE NO COPIES OF GUARDS! GUARDS! in the L.A. County library system. This is a baffling travesty.
This is also why I did not read the book this month.
HOWEVER! I do remember it fairly well. And there is also Wikipedia, to refresh my memory. So I am up for the discussions!
Our library is closed on Mondays and I will be out of town until Wednesday afternoon, so I will check the availability of Guards! Guards! after I get back. I hate disappearing books, and feel your pain!
