"Sure. Let me call my mom and tell her real quick then." Max said. He walked into the other room and called his mom. He walked back into the other room when he was done.

Gavin high five him, "Wicked. Football?"
"Yes!" Max said. He sat down on the couch again.
Gavin chuckled and turned it on.

Max woke up on the couch. Why am I here? he though. Then he remembered. The TV was still on.

Alex was downstairs doing what she needed to do for school. When she saw he was awake she went over and sat next to him.
"Where's Gavin?" Max asked. He wrapped an arm around her.
"He had an early shift." she told him with a smile and wrapped an arm round his waist.
"Cool." Max said. He gave her a kiss on the forehead.
She cuddled up to him, "That means we have half an hour before I leave for school."
"Great" Max said. He pulled her closer to him. "Do you have anything else to do in the mean time?"
She shook her head, "Nope. I just usually take a long time to get to school."
Max smiled and looked into her eyes. He wanted to say something, but didn't know what to say.
She looked up at him, "I just want to say... I've um... never been romantic with someone."
"Neither have I" max said. He smiled nervously at her.
"Really?" she said surprised, "But you're twenty three..."
"Well, at least not like this..." Max said.
"Oh..." she said, "Like, one night stands..."
Max just sat there with her. He started to comb his fingers through her hair.
She cautiously rested on him but avoided eye contact.
Max looked at her and locked their eyes.
She still looked at the floor. For some reason it made her jealous.
Max didnt know what to say, so her just rubbed her arm.
She looked at the clock and stood up, grabbing her bag, "I have to go to school." she told him and quickly grabbed her keys, "Just let yourself out."
"Ok." Max said. He got up with her. He grabbed some breakfast for himself.
She looked at him quickly before walking out and shutting the door.

Max was walking through the park, hoping to see Alex and not Gavin.

Alex was walking back from school as she usually did, headphones in and reading a book.
Max saw her and walked over. "How do you read with headphones in?" He asked just loud enough for her to hear.
Alex looked up and took her headphones out, her gaze returning to her book, "I just do."
Max smiled shyly at her. She didn't seem very happy this morning.
She slowed down slightly, "Are you going to walk too or am I by myself?"
"No no, I'll walk." Max said.
She waited for him before putting her book in her bad and walking.
Max reached for her hand, but thought better of it.
Alex noticed the movement and sighed, "I'm not mad at you."
"Really? You semed upset this morning." Max said. He looked her in the eyes.
She shrugged, "I didn't mean to be..."
Max didn't say anything. He reached for her hand and held it.

Alex looked up at him and smiled, but looked up and saw Gavin.
"Max, go!" she whispered, "Gavin!"

Max quickly walked away Alex. He pretended he didn't know Alex or Gavin was there.
Alex walked towards her brother and jumped on his back, "Gavy!" she laughed, kissing his cheek. She looked round and saw Max, "Isn't that Maxy over there?" Gavin looked over and grinned, "Max!" he called out.
Max turned around like he didn't know they were there. He smiled and walked over toward them. "Hey Gavin. Hey Alex." He said. He gave Alex a quick look.
Gavin grinned, "Hey. On your way to ours?" he asked.
Alex gave him a quick nod.

"Yeah actually." Max said to Gavin. He prevented himself from looking at Alex.
"Might as well keep a bag at hours." Alex hinted. Gavin nodded, "Yeah, you should."
Max smiled. "Well..." He said and that was all.
Alex smiled and gave a light wink to Max before they both started walking home.
