The lowlands,the namesake and the murder scene of Lisey's husband in Lisey's Story by King

Great read! even though at least for me, I go through what my husband calls a b.b.m.(bad book mood). But I just found a great author, Alice McDermott which is strange because she flew under my literary fiction radar. Lisey's story is just a high recommendation from a very kind friend and I would like to check it out for her. It's her favorite. I know King is completely commercial and more of main stream author, but sometimes reading the same genre can make you develop ennui about your genre of books or your just not in the mood.
Reading is completely subjective.
