Rules - Read Me First!

Rules are subject to change. Check this thread often. Or subscribe to it so you will know when it is updated.

RULES:
1) Be mature! (No name-calling, flaming, or trolling.)
2) No explicit scenes - skip, fade to black, or take it elsewhere.
3) Cursing is allowed, but please don't overdo it. If the person you are role playing with asks you not to curse, don't!
4) Roleplaying posts MUST be at least five sentences. Keep non-rp posts to a minimum, except in designated areas.
5) Be active! You have one month from when you join to make a character, and another two weeks to start playing that character. If you do not do either one, you may be kicked out. PM a mod with extenuating circumstances.
6) Characters may not be in more than one place at a time. NO EXCEPTIONS!

7) Please read the 'Important Information' topic before creating your character(s). Thank you.
8) Limited positions, such as professors, can be reserved for up to one week. If, at the end of that week, the player who asked for the position to be reserved has not made the specified character, the position will be reopen.
9) Only Mods may post to this thread. All rules subject to final approval by the Dean (Lura).

10) ALL characters must be posted under the 'Character Creation' topic AND APPROVED by a mod PRIOR to being played.

11) NO SELF-PROMOTION!! This is a role play group. We're here to role play, not have things promoted to/at us. Thank you.

12) Please make at least one role play post per character per month. Failure to do so may result in expulsion from the group. Alternatively, post in the 'Request for RP' topic. If you can't find anyone to RP with, this requirement may be waived.
( Post under 'Extended Away' -OR- PM a mod with any extenuating circumstances. I want this group to be ACTIVE.)

13) RP posts shorter than five sentences will receive a warning. Three warnings (from me) are all you get. (Warnings from another member will not count towards the three so long as the post is edited before I see it. If not, I will give a warning as well.) A fourth such post will see you kicked out of the group.
NEW: Warnings may be taken off after six months of activity, as defined in rule 12 above. This is a reward for those who are active in the group. After all, we all make mistakes. ^_^

14) Please use proper spelling and grammar. I don't expect perfection; none of us are going to be perfect. However, an attempt at proper spelling and grammar is appreciated.
(Remember, just because you put a period somewhere doesn't mean the previous word or words is a sentence. For example, "I. Am. Not. A. Whore," she said. is one sentence, not five. Please also remember that he said, et. all are most often part of the previous sentence and not a sentence unto themselves. Thank you.

15.) Attention: Any character that is make up of more than three being have to has the character to lean more toward two of the three beings and stick to those powers.

For example, let's say a character was born half elf,angel, cat, or demon than the person have to pick two of the four beings and stick with the characteristics of the two, but you can still write that in your character's history, he/she is made up of the four beings except they lean more toward the two that you pick.

16) (a.k.a. 10, part 2) Specify all of a character's abilities/skils/etc and weaknesses during character creation. There should be no adding of additional abilities after a character has been finished and approved. Mod approval may be granted to add abilities in some cases. Very rare cases.

Also, if your character has a secret of some sort, make sure it is mentioned (by hinting or by use of spoiler tags) at some point in the profile. 'Other' is a good place to put this.
