List 2 or 3 of your characters in your current story or a recent story and tell the class what annoys them and why. :3

Nicole Castro (nicolecastro) | 116 comments I only have one right now: Collin Linsey. Whilst talking on the phone, he is constantly getting interrupted. He's not happy about it.

P.S. He is Ashe Whitaker's cousin for those of you that know The Appleton House.

Being interrupted is my biggest pet peeve, too, so I understand his pain.

A Dance With Fury

Emerald - That people judge her by her accent.

Blood - The fact that the taste, bitter, has the cheek to exist.

Vane - the fact that her father won't let her pursue a career as a stuffed animal alterer.

Yours? :]

Alex (or Lutnalind Zhendar Xavelk) is annoyed by his lack of English vocabulary. He always has problems finding the right words. On top of it, he finds figure of speech very misleading.

message 6: by J (new)

J | 301 comments Mod
oho, we got you to leak another character. :3 I suppose Nelly would be the opposite of Blood because she has that regard toward sweets.

The Scarlet Ribbon
Nelly is very annoyed by the footsteps of people wearing flip=flops. It drives her nuts. She's a sneakers and boots person.

Vladimir is annoyed with technology. He can't stand cell phones and computers. His mother raised him to abstain from technology.

Scarlet is annoyed that her former lover is happy with another girl. :3

@G.G. - Is English his second language or his native and just had difficulty learning it?

Ann Thorrson (ann_thorrson) | 2536 comments Mod
G.G That is my Viking:

"Omg, short shorts are actually SHORT shorts. I thought they were just repeating the word. Woah."

P.S I get flip flop rage.

message 9: by J (new)

J | 301 comments Mod
haha. English is crazy. lol

I hate flip-flop sounds, too. Footsteps while wearing them sound so clumsy, clumsier than heels even.

message 10: by Susan (new)

Susan (authorsusanreid) | 28 comments Cam'ael: compulsive obsessive neat freak, can't stand disorder or filth.

Starling: Annoyed by scented candles and self help books.

J | 301 comments Mod
A gal named Briannah from my old book hated strong scents, too. Her sense of smell's so sensitive. xD

I guess if Cam'ael cleans a lot and Starling visits, Starling can't stand the strong smells of Pine-sol or other cleaners.

@Josh Alex comes from another planet. He has learned English to communicate with Earthlings. It's not his second language but rather is 58th one. :p

@ Bisky ahahah Great one! I never thought about that one, but I can imagine Alex would wonder about that too since he's got problems with expressions such as Out of the woods (no trees around!), all-dressed pizza (do you need to undress it before you eat it?), In the dark (Of course we're in the dark, it's night here!) etc. Gotta love playing with words. :)

@Josh I understand the flip flop thing! It feels as if someone is too lazy to lift up their feet when they walk when I hear them.

message 14: by J (new)

J | 301 comments Mod
@G.G. I couldn't imagine that many languages haha!

I know--it's as if feet are being dragged behind them. Plus that rush of hair that hits your sole every footstep. xD

G.G that is so cute :]

When VIking came to England to visit me for the first time, he hadnt actually used english in an english speaking enviroment.

we went to mcdonalds. In his language you say: Jag tar Hambergure.

Directly translated its I WILL TAKE YOUR HAMBURGER

so they all stared back at him in wonder and asked if he was actually going to pay for his food :p

Who am I kidding your an american you can get away with anything :p (which my friend found out when visiting :p)

message 21: by G.G. (new)

G.G. (ggatcheson) | 1053 comments Mod
@ Bisky Of course they had someone from the Norse for the script since after all Thor, Lokki, Odin etc are all Norse deities.
That's why you always see Thor with a Viking hat ( with the little horns on it)

message 22: by Ann (new)

Ann Thorrson (ann_thorrson) | 2536 comments Mod
*scratches head*

the horned helmet didn't exsist :X

I am referring to the old carton of Thor, but you are much too young for those!

J. David Clarke (clarketacular) | 418 comments MISSING TIME

Kevin: annoyed by Brandon (his best friend)'s non stop comic book references.

Carl: an older man annoyed by what he perceives as the selfishness and stupidity of the younger generation.

Becca: has trust issues, and is generally annoyed by just about everyone around her.

message 28: by J (new)

J | 301 comments Mod
Comic book references. I like that. :3

I actually heard on the news last winter that younger generations are more narcissistic, so Carl's perception may be very accurate. :3

Becca must have a short fuse, huh?

message 29: by Kamil (new)

Kamil | 187 comments Roland : He's mostly annoyed by those that refuse to learn how to read, because they are kinda going against the law. And Roland might've been a street-rat but he's kinda a law-respecting guy. he's also annoyed by those that waste food and water, there's no shortage of it, and he hates the arroganse of some members of the nobilty.

Freya : She's annoyed by the fact she doesn't have an aptitude for fire-type magic. She's really irritated by the fact she's tiny. But what grinds her stones the most, is the fact she overheard Roland while he was flirting with The Duke's daughter. Not knowing he was trying to get a hunting permit (it takes a permit to hunt the mountain boar) and not knowing about her own feelings 'thus not being able to explain why she's so irritated, she's really annoyed

message 34: by J (new)

@Kamil - I don't like wasting food either, but sometimes I waste a little because I get a sick feeling.. *slaps myself*

I guess she can't tell him why she's irritated because then she would have to admit a secret of hers. :3

@Jennifer - I can relate to Cam when talking to someone you like. D8 lol

That's one way of putting it. Becca is very anti-social, she drops she f-bomb in nearly every sentence lol
